P!nk does it again… check out here latest video, “So What.” Apparently this is her break up song to her recently divorced ex-husband Corey Hart who makes a cameo in the vid. The lyrics might sound bitter but they honestly look like they are pretty good friends in the video… props to them for staying close and on good terms even after the divorce.

Ricky Martian is the proud new father of twin boys that were born a few weeks ago via a surrogate mother according to a statement from his publicist. “The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care,” states his publicist. “Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.”
There have been rumors circulating Ricky’s sexuality since the beginning of his adult career. Ricky has neither admitted nor denied any of the rumors that he’s gay, he usually just skirts the issue. Him pulling a “Gaykin” and having children with a surrogate mother will certainly not help his case if wants to remain ambiguous. At this point I think he should just come out of the closet and be proud of who he is… one way or another. That way, he can be a good role-model for his kids by teaching them self-love and standing up for who you are as a human being.
Rockers Oasis are back with a soon-to-be released new album called, Dig Out Your Soul. Thanks to the Internet the lead single “The Shock Of The Lightning” is already in heavy rotation on certian radio stations even thought it hasn’t been “officially” released yet. Janet Jackson is set to make her new worldwide release… this time however, she’s not releasing a new album but her own line of designer lingerie called, “Pleasure Principle.” Janet teamed up with Australian designer, Bruno Schiavi, to create this sexy line.
“People have come to me with other ideas, but lingerie is a passion for me, and just like music and acting, I can’t do it unless I put 100% into it,” Jackson said at a press conference of her collaboration with Bruno. “There’s something for every woman, and that’s very important to us. I’ve always hated when lingerie is uncomfortable, so the fit and comfort was key.”
Good luck to Janet on her new endeavor… and I have to say that she still looks smoking hot, even standing next to a lingerie model!
Looks like the Jonas Brothers are having the best week ever… not only did their new album debut at #1, but they have 2 other albums that made their way into the top 10 this week as well! The new album, A Little Bit Longer, sold over 525,000 copies during it’s first week, making it one of the year’s best-selling debuts according to Nielsen SoundScan. This is a higher debut than fellow Disney pop-tart, Miley Cryus who’s current album, Breakout, only sold 371,400 copies to debut at #1. But wait… there’s more!! Because of all this regenerated interest in the Jonas Brothers, their self titled previous effort from 2007 returns to the top 10 at #10 this week… Talk about Jonas Brothamania!! And as if that wasn’t enough of the Jonases… Disney’s Camp Rock soundtrack, which features 3 tunes by the Jonas Brothers, holds at #8 this week by selling 50,000 copies. That makes 3 albums in the top ten for the Jonas Brothers… who woulda guessed? Certainly not me…
Beyonce Knowles’ lil sister, Solange, has really been impressive with her latest material. Her first single, “I Decided,” is a staple in my DJ sets right now and I can’t get her latest tune, “Sandcastle Disco,” out of my head. Check out the adorable video for “Sandcastle Disco” above… Is it just me or is channeling a little Beyonce Knowles with a hint of Diana Ross in the vid?!
Rumor has it that Britney Spears will be performing at this years VMA’s. She is hard at work on a new album that has already been titled, Under My Control, and is supposedly going to perform a track from the new material. If this is true and she puts her all in her performance, this would be a perfect way for her to reintroduce herself to the same audience that she bombed miserably in front of last year. She has described her new album as “her best work to date” and has collaborated with many of today’s hottest producers such as, Dark Child, Danja, Dallas Austin and Bloodshy & Avant. Another surprising collaboration on the album is with electro-pop sensation, Lady Gaga. According to Lady G, her song has already been recorded by Britney and both her and her label are happy with the end result. “Britney’s people are freaking out about this song. Ultimately, she makes the decisions, so when I found out that she loved it and was going to record it, it was amazing. I actually heard it yesterday with her on it for the first time, and I really had chills.” Sounds exciting… Maybe this will be the song that she takes the stage to!
Check out this rare Madonna track that was produced by William Orbit during her Ray Of Light era. It’s an ABBA cover called “An Angel Passing Through My Room” that was left off of the album and has never been heard until it was recently leaked. It’s a beautiful ballad that I think would have made a nice addition to the Ray of Light album… I’m surprised it was left off. Makes me wonder weather there were many other good tracks that were left off of the CD.

I’ve always been a fan of Sarah Mclachlan, she is a very talented vocalist as well as an amazing song writer. However, I’m not crazy about her new single, “You Want Me 2.” This lead single off of her upcoming greatest hits CD is a bit bland for my liking. Plus the opening piano instrumentation sounds like a complete rip off of Gary Jules’ brilliant cover of “Mad World.” Check out “You Want Me 2″ above, then listen to “Mad World” below and tell me if you hear it too…
