Ke$ha’s new single “Crazy Kids” has been remixed… Well, not as much “remixed” as it is a new version of the original production with the addition of Will.i.am. Still, I think Will’s inclusion makes for a fun new Ke$ha single to play to death on the radio!! Check it out…
Ke$ha Ft. Will.i.am – Crazy Kids (Remix):
Will.i.am is set to release next single off of his still unreleased #willpower album but not without a heap of controversy of course! The new Chris Brown assisted track titled “Let’s Go” is said to have completely ripped off the Arty & Mat Zo EDM anthem “Rebound“. Will’s track is literally a note-for-note recreation of “Rebound” and according to Arty, Mat Zo as well as their label, the “Scream & Shout” crooner never cleared the use of their track. Here is a side by side so you can listen for yourselves…
In an even more unexpected turn of events, Mat Zo has since deleted his Twitter account shortly after this controversy erupted but not for the reason that you would think! Here is Mat’s statement as to what was behind his de-Tweeting!
So basically Mat deactivated his account because he was sick of seeing the racist rants of his disgruntled fans that were racially attacking Chris Brown and will.i.am. If you spend any time at all reading celebrities Twitter accounts or the comment sections of popular blogs, you probably know how rampant racism is on the Internet. I commend Mat for taking a stand against this kind of behavior and issuing a statement in opposition to his own fans. We need more people like him in the EDM community!
I wasn’t going to post this because I’m not a fan of this remix at all but decided I would go ahead and share it anyway for all you Britney fans that can’t get enough of the pop princess. She definitely gets a little more face time in the new video and I actually like her ghetto-fabulous make over better than the big-haired sorcerous look she dawned in the original video.
As you can probably tell from the image I posted above and the title of this post, I am more excited about Luciana joining the Will.i.am/Britney Spears party than anything else about this way too over played song! New production duo Cave Dunk have breathed new life into this song that’s quickly becoming the most played-out cut of 2013, and have turned it into a new electro Luciana club-anthem! I think this song is going to have 9 lives thanks to all the stellar remixes that are popping up!
I’ve really been into the last two Chris Cox productions that have come my way! His remix of Will.i.am & Britney Spears‘ “Scream & Shout” as well as his Crystal Waters & Dj Frankie assisted new single “Oh Mama Hey” are both heavy hitters in my sets right now. Part of the reason why I have really taken to both of these productions so much is that they find Chris reviving the sound that put him on the map in the first place – The iconic Thunderpuss sound that he perfected with his old production partner Barry Harris.
Chris & Barry RULED the dance/remix genre with their with their high-energy TP remixes through most of the early 2000′s but eventually broke up leaving many of their fans (such as myself) with an empty void .
While some people might argue that the Thunderpuss sound is “dated” and doesn’t fit the current trend in EDM… I would beg to differ considering how well both of these productions have been doing on the dancefloor for me! I think the people that actually remember & danced to Chris & Barry’s older production back in the day are really enjoying the throwback nostalgia, while newer dance music enthusiasts are discovering and getting exited about the TP vibe for the very first time through these remixes.
If you haven’t heard Chris‘ “return to form” in his latest two productions… I highly recommend that you check them out!

Chris Cox & DJ Frankie Ft. Crystal Waters – Oh Mama Hey (Original):
Here’s a little slice of amazingness for your Sunday morning! Check out this MASSIVE Robin Skouteris & Pat Scott mashup-remix of Will.i.am & Britney’s club banger “Scream & Shout” that absolutely slays all other versions of this song. And just when I thought I’ve heard one too many version of this overly-remixed track… But seriously, all you producers need to move on. This one has officially been concurred!
My good friend DJ Nikno has reworked Will.i.am & Britney’s current club banger “Scream & Shout” into a dark and funky anthem! Considering that this song is already the single most bootlegged track of 2013, I have to commend Nikno for actually reimagining the track with a completely new feel and fresh sound which sets this one apart from the sea of bootlegs that sounds so similar! It’s a must listen!!
Will.i.am Ft. Britney Spears – Scream & Shout (Nikno Remix):
Also, check out Nikno’s Soundcloud page to hear some of his other amazing tracks/remixes that he has produced over the last few years!
Also, take a listen to this mashup I did using the Reidiculous remix of the song VS The Talking Heads “Burning Down The House“! I’ve had a great reaction on the dancefloor with this mashup… Thinking about reworking it with even more Talking Heads. Let me know what you guys think…
Will.i.am Ft. Britney Spears vs Talking Heads – Screaming Down The House (DJ Taj vs Reidiculous Mashup):
Are you guys ready for some new Britney?!!! Ok, I know this has been out for a week or so and I’m late on posting it, but in case you haven’t read my last few posts… I was on vacation (out of the country) and am playing blog catch-up today! So let us take a deep breath, hold hands, take a listen to Will.i.am’s Britney Spears assisted new single “Scream & Shout” and bask in all its glory! (Before the radio plays it out and ruins it for us) WELOME BACK BRITNEY… Oh yeah… And will.i.am too I guess.
I know he doesn’t have a lot of fans here on the blog, but Will.i.am is back with a new single titled “This Is Love“ which some of you might find to be a slight improvement from his previous solo effort the “T.H.E. (Hardest Ever)“. The new single, which by Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello, dives deep into the world of EDM and features a cameo by Eva Simons stepping in for Fergie to deliver a flawless vocal! While I doubt this will be a HUGE mainstream hit for the Black Eyed Peas frontman, it may be destined to become a popular club single for the summer with the right set of remixes!
Will.i.am Ft. Eva Simons – This Is Love:
As the big day for Madonna gets closer and closer, insiders seem to find it harder and harder to keep their lips sealed about all the surprises she has in store for us in her big Superbowl performance! Seems the Will.i.am has a little inside information himself that he just couldn’t help but to brag about during a British radio interview yesterday. What Will.i.am revealed will definitely divide some of Madge’s fanbase, but I’m guessing that a majority might NOT like the idea. Check out what surprise Will.i.am ruined for Madonna after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »
In a newly released AllSaints Basement Sessions interview with Kelis, the eccentric singer revealed that a new album is already almost finished and will be released shortly after we celebrate the new year! The interview was actually shot in September so when she said it was almost done back then… I think it’s safe to say that either they’re putting the finishing touches on the album as we speak or it’s already in the can!! I am loving the Will.i.am produced mid-tempo electro-pop Kelis track “Anything Like You” that recently surfaced… If that song is a preview of what to expect from her new album, then I am excited!!! Check it out below…
Kelis Ft. Will.i.am – Anything Like You:
Kelis is back with a HOT NEW Will.i.am produced electro-pop single called “Antyhing Like You“!! Will also makes a cameo on the track which samples Visage’s 80′s new wave classic “Fade To Grey“. I am absolutely LOVING this new single and cannot wait for the dance remixes!! Welcome back Kelis!
Kelis Ft. Will.i.am – Anything Like You:
Will.i.am has just unleashed the music video for his star-studded solo single titled “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)“. The clip which features some assistance from a very ‘Fergalcious’ looking Jennifer Lopez as well as rock n’ roll icon Mick Jagger is heavy on the production value which really might help the song out on the charts since its not doing so hot on its own. Personally, I like the song. Yes it sounds like something B.E.P. would have recorded for one of their last two albums, but I that’s exactly what I was expecting and wanting from Will. With B.E.P. taking a 2 year hiatus, I’m hoping he can fill in the gap that is left behind while Fergie is too busy getting it on with her husband Josh Duhamel to make some babies! (Seriously though, I don’t blame her!) Back on subject, take a gander at the new vid and let me know if you’re feeling it…
