Last night I DJed an AMAZING gig at Hillcrest Mardi Gras here in San Diego, CA. My crowd was effen amazing! They were on fire all night and made this gig one of my most memorable EVER! I also have to give props to some of the stellar productions that made my set so… Dave Aude’s remix of Kelis‘ “Acapella” was a crowd favorite last night as well as the Richard Vission mix of Eva Simons’ “Silly Boy.”
I wanted to give a very special shout out to DJ’s From Mars whose remix productions gave my set that little extra somethin’, somethin’ that drove the crowd BANANA’S!!! I ended my set with their incredible remix of Jay-Z, Kanye West & Rihanna’s “Run This Town” mashed with Bach’s “Mass in B Minor.” I’ve actually posted the video for this production before but if you didn’t listen to it the first time around, check out the genius behind this remix!
Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” intro for tonight’s Super Bowl was AMAZING!!! … He recruited The Rutgers University Symphony Orchestra to do this thrilling orchestral version of his hit song that features Rihanna.
Rihanna dispelled rumors that she would be performing on this years Grammy’s on Carson Daly’sAmp Radio show today… The “Russian Roulette” singer seems to think that the infamous domestic dispute that she had with Chris Brown on the morning of last years Grammy’s may have had something to do with her not taking the stage this year.
“We messed their show up pretty bad last year. They might be a little mad at me.” Rihanna told Carson.
Both Rihanna and Chris Brown were scheduled to perform on last year’s awards ceremonies but of course were forced to cancel the day of due to the domestic dispute. So sad… She obviously still blames herself for what happened on some level since she thinks she’s being punished by producers for the Grammy’s for what happened to her. And if the producers are holding something against her for being forced to cancel last year… Shame on them! Good news is that Rihanna will be attending the show since her collaboration with Jay-Z & Kanye West, “Run This Town,” is nominated for 2 Grammy’s.

So I recently came across these A M A Z I N G producers known as DJs From Mars that I am just absolutely BANANA’S about right now! These guys have an impeccable ear for hearing a good mashup combination as well as a tremendous talent for production their own original material and distinct sound. As a matter of fact, a lot of their productions I would call; half mashup/half original production. Their mixes incorporate some ingenious samples from some very well known and loved songs while adding their own electro spin to them. Check out these video’s that I picked out of some of my favorite DJs from Mars productions. I think you guys will fall in love with that way I have because THESE PRODUCTIONS ARE HOT ON EVERY LEVEL!!! My DJ sets are about to experience some close encounters from the DJs From Mars.
Rihanna put on her best “gay attire” to pre-record her New Years Eve with Carson Daly performance last night in NYC. Rihanna performed 2 numbers at Rockefeller Center and even got a little help from Jay-Z with their hit, “Run This Town“.
