AND SHE IS EFFEN AMAZING!!!! Alice Tan Ridley, mother ofPrecious star and Academy Award-nominee, Gabourey Sidibe, has been singing in the New York subway stations for 18 years!!! Even after her daughter’s new found fame and fortune… Alice continues to sing under the streets of New York because she loves what she does and she refuses to take hand outs from her children. WOW… what a powerful message and life long lesson she’s teaching her kids. Must be a very humbling experience for her daughter.

Let’s start with the good news… Last night Mariah Carey won the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 2010 Palm Springs Film Festival for her role in the critically-acclaimed movie, Precious.
OK, and now on the EVEN BETTER NEWS!!! She was totally wasted when she accepted her award in front of the star-studded audience! I do have to say in her defense that she wasn’t a mess by any means. She was just very noticeably tipsy and kinda funny. Seems like Mariah might actually be a fun drunk to party with.
