Lady Gaga has had an amazing ride on Billboard’s POP SONGS chart since the beginning of her career. Her first 6 singles have reached the top spot on the chart, making her the first artist to achieve such an impressive feat… However the streak of consecutive #1′s has officially come to an end thanks to a little ol’ song called, “Alejandro“. The song which is Gaga’s latest (and supposedly last) single off of The Fame Moster may have reached its full potential on the chart this week when it went up one spot to the #4 position with no bullet beside it. (The bullets usually indicate that the song is expected to rise the following week.) On Billboard’s Hot 100, (the more prestigious chart that industry people tend to take more seriously and reference) the song has fallen from it’s peak position of #5 to #7 this week so I doubt we’ll see an upward move there either. BTW… Gaga only has 2 #1′s on the Hot 100 to date – “Just Dance” & “Poke Face“.
So why didn’t “Alejandro” make it to #1 this time around for Gaga? Maybe it’s resemblance to songs such as Ace of Base’s “Don’t Turn Around” & Madonna’s “La Isla Bonita” were a little too obvious for some to ignore… Maybe fans found the music video too confusing and self-indulgent… Maybe Gaga’s bird flipping antics at a recent Mets game have left a sour note in people’s ears… Maybe she’s just over-exposed lately and people need a break… Or maybe the song just isn’t that good! I think it was a combination of “all of the above” in this case.
Either way, this is Gaga’s first official US “flop” so maybe it’s time that she finally puts an end to The Fame Monsterera, takes a proper break, and come back fresh and full of new energy and idea’s to continue her conquest of pop domination. (And I put ‘flop’ in quotations because it’s still a top 5 single so it’s hardly a failure.) Who know’s… Maybe next time she’ll even score a couple of #1′s on Billboard’s Hot 100.
OH WOW!!! This is one of the most hilarious yet disturbing things that I’ve ever come across online!!! I’m sure you guys have heard of that crazy religious freak Shirley Phelps-Roper of the Westboro Baptist Church. She made all kinds of headline a few years back with her agressive and hateful anti-gay and anti-American solider protests! (Her and her fellow church followers would picket with signs that read “God hates fags” at the funerals of AIDS victims and soldiers that died in the war in Afghanistan… Yeah, she’s psycho!) Well now Shirley’s niece, Megan Phelps, is bringing her some stiff competition when it comes to “crazy” but with a young & fresh twist… She’s parodying Lady Gaga songs and turning them into anti-gay/anti-Gaga religious-right anthems… LOL!!! Her latest installment is a parody of Gaga’s “Telephone” called “Ever Burn“. Ooooh… How creative! The best part of these parodies is that you can tell Megan really gets into singing Gaga’s melodies so she’s had to have spent a lot of time listening (and probably secretly enjoying) the originals. I think it’s obvious that Megan is a closeted “little monster” at heart… What do you think?

Also check out her parody of “Poker Face“… She even made a very high budget music video for this one!!! Like I said… These parodies are hilarious (at her expense of course) but kinda disturbing. At the end of the day, you just have to laugh at this poor, uneducated girl like a scary clown.
Lady Gaga recently told her adoring fans attending her Monster Ball Tour that she will die because of alcoholism someday… The random comment came about when Gaga was firing back at the critics that say that she works too hard and is exhausting herself. She went on a tangnt about wanting to die in front of her fans, yada, yada, yada and slipped in the shocking comment about alcohol bringing her demise…

This comment is especially perplexing coming from the girl that use to proclaim that she rarely drinks because she loves her work too much. But then again… Gaga has been known to flip flop with her stories. (IE: “Poker Face” being about her thinking about another guy/girl while sexing her boyfriend.) She’s a young newcomer so I’m sure she’ll say anything at this point just to garner as much attention as the funny costumes that she wears… I wouldn’t be too worried about it, little monsters.
When I first heard that Glee’sLea Michele (Rachel) & new comer Idina Menzel (Shelby Cocoran) where doing a duet of “Poker Face” in the Lady Gaga themed episode, I kinda cringed. I mean no offense but I just couldn’t imagine how they were gonna fit in a scene with these two broadway diva’s doing a dance-pop song like “Poker Face” without it coming off kinda awkwardly “forced” and cheesy.
Thankfully it turns out that they aren’t doing the pop-dance version of the song at all… They did a duet cover of the acoustic piano version of “Poker Face” which was made popular by the Kid Cudi track, “Poke Her Face“. The end result is pretty damn amazing! Check it out…

Lady Gaga is being sued by producer Rob Fusari, that man that basically helped shape her career and co-wrote some of material from her debut album.
