by: Taj | February 23rd, 2010

Rumor has it that Janet Jackson has agreed to join her brothers Tito, Jermain, Jackie & Marion in a Jackson 5 reunion tour in order to honor Michael and his “This Is It” comeback concert that never happened. The new world tour will even incorporate some of the sets that were suppose to be in Michael’s show. According to Jermain, fans will get an extra special treat now that Janet has decided that she will step in to replace Michael

Janet will be joining us. We’re all talking about it now. She has never played with us before so that will be very special. She definitely wants to do it. We had a conference call and Janet has agreed to join us on tour.”

Wow… Looks like it’s going to be a family affair! If this is true, I wonder what this means for Janet’s album that she’s currently working on or any possibility for her own tour???

Paris & Prince Jackson Accepting Their Father’s Lifetime Achievement Award On Grammy’s…

by: Taj | February 1st, 2010

Paris and Prince Jackson accepted a Lifetime Achievement award on the behalf of their late father, Michael Jackson, last night on the Grammy’s… It was such a touching moment and might I add that Michael raised 2 very beautiful children! The youngest, Blanket, was also suppose to appear on stage with his siblings but was said to have become too overwhelmed last minute and opted to skip his appearance. He’s a young boy and the pressure of being in front of so many people after being sheltered his whole life was probably not the best idea in the first place. Paris and Prince graciously accepted their fathers award and the small sing of nervousness that they displayed was more adorable than anything else…

The “Dancing Inmates” from the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in the Philippines have been hard at work learning a new Michael Jackson dance tribute to share with the world. For those of you that may not be familiar with these guys… They are literally inmates at the maximum security prison in the Philippines that were propelled to fame in 2007 when a Youtube video of them performing Michael Jackson’sThriller” went viral on the Internet.

This time around, the “smooth criminals” are performing a tribute to MJ’sThis Is It” concert and were actually visited by MJ’s long-time choreographer, Travis Payne, who helped them learn the new choreography that would have been featured in Michael’sThis Is It” comeback tour. Wow, what an honored that must have been for them. Travis‘ visit obviously really paid off for the “Dancing Inmates” because their new performance is nothing short of amazing!

RedOne Hopeful For His Michael Jackson Productions To Be Released…

by: Taj | January 22nd, 2010

Producer RedOne who helped catapult Lady Gaga to superstardom with her debut album says that his work with the late Michael Jackosn before his untimely death might just end up see a release. The two recorded together from 2008 till 2009, right before Jackson’s passing. While none of their studio session where completely finished, RedOne is content that he has enough material to work with and to put together an entire album.

“I have big plans… There is material that could come out. In case I’m going to release something, I would do it for charity, for something that he would have been proud of, because you always felt like everybody wanted to take advantage of him though his life.”

Weather any the music they worked on together will actually see the light of day is yet to be known and will ultimately depend on the decision of MJ’s iron-fisted estate. Though RedOne’s optimism really makes me wonder if something is already in the works Here is how hit maker recalls his time in the studio with Michael;

“The music we were doing was good, really good…very energetic, uplifting. It’s sad that we never finished the material. Michael always has been focused on having hits, not having songs, so he always records a lot of songs and takes the best of them and that’s his formula which I love. We were doing good quality music and it’s never been finished.”

Michael Jackson’s Death Rules A Homicide!

by: Taj | January 11th, 2010

The drama surrounding Michael Jackson’s death continues to make headlines in 2010. Today it was announced that Michael Jackson’s death has officially been ruled a homicide! The cause of death has been already been changed on the MJ’s death certificate to read; ”Acute Propofol intoxication” by “intravenous injection of another.” Dr. Conrad Murray can now look forward to be charged with manslaughter and prosecuted for “gross negligence”. I guess we can expect a long and highly publicized trail and investigation for the new year. Yay! :-/

Lenny Kravitz Talks About His Michael Jackson Collaboration…

by: Taj | January 5th, 2010

The same day that a 30 second clip of a new Michael Jackson/Lenny Kravitz collaboration titled “Another Day” leaked on the Internet, Lenny has taken to his Twitter page to post a video in which he discusses the leaked track. In the video Lenny says that he wrote and produced the song for MJ and that there’s currently a behind the scenes discussion going on to work out the possibility of the song being released in its entirety. Lenny also explains that he in no way had anything to do with the leak and that the he does not know the DJ who tagged the leaked clip. (Which is probably the sole reason he even bothered making this video… To get clear up any kind of legal speculation.)

by: Taj | January 4th, 2010

A clip of a new Michael Jackson & Lenny Kravitz duet called “Another Day” has leaked onto the Internet. The guitar driven track is classic MJ and is eon’s better than his recent “new” release “This Is It.” If he has more good material like this locked away, I really hope we get an official new Michael Jackson record someday soon.
