Video Premiere: Ke$ha – Dirty Love

by: Taj | January 3rd, 2014

Ke$ha hasn’t quite given up on her Warrior album just yet and has just released a music video for her latest single “Dirty Love”.The clip features a lot of glitter, excessive make-up, fishnets and bearded drag queens… So basically it’s a typical Ke$ha video. I guess at this point it’s wishful thinking for her to ever give my favorite track “Supernatural” an official release. I’ll just settle for a new album…

Remix Treatment: Ke$ha – Supernatural (Taj’s Paranormal Peak Hour Remix)

by: Taj | August 22nd, 2013

Hey everyone! So I’ve finally completed my follow remix to my “Clarity” that I did with DJ Marcel. This one is a solo production and completely changed gears from my last mix… This time I’ve tackled “Supernatural” by Ke$ha (my favorite track off of her album) and I’ve gone more the Electro-driven route as apposed to the darker circuit sound we went with on “Clarity“! So without any further adu… Here it is. (Please leave any feedback on the Soundcloud link and feel free to download it if you like it!)

PS… I really couldn’t have done this alone mix without the feedback and support from my friends. I want to give a special thanks to my partner Ray who has heard the song a trillion times and was asked “are you sure that sounds ok?” even more before I finally finished it. (Im sorry! Haha!) And I also subjected DJ MarcelJNXKwesi through a million different versions as well to get their opinions and guidance so I have to give them thanks as well. Also want to give a big thank you to Nikno who sat me down in his studio a few times to show me some cool tricks and help me rethink the structure of the production! He’s truly been a huge support system through this learning process and I am so appreciative! Ok… I’m done rambling. I hope you liked it. :) Taj

New Music: Ke$ha Ft. – Crazy Kids (Remix)

by: Taj | April 22nd, 2013

Ke$ha’s new single “Crazy Kids” has been remixed… Well, not as much “remixed” as it is a new version of the original production with the addition of Still, I think Will’s inclusion makes for a fun new Ke$ha single to play to death on the radio!! Check it out…

Video Premiere: Ke$ha – C’mon

by: Taj | January 11th, 2013

Ke$ha has quickly moved on from her hit “Die Young” after she was criticized for the songs “controversial” lyrics following the Sandy Hook Elementary school tragedy (Because apparently Americans are fragile little flowers that don’t understand the concept of metaphor) and has turned her attention to the bubbly and metaphor-free “C’mon“! Check out the newly released non-offensive clip which is full of “safe” imagery such as lollipops, giant dancing stuffed animals and even features a cameo from a cuddly little kitten just to drive the “trying not to offend anyone” point home!

Ke$ha Clarifies Her “Forced To Sing ‘Die Young'” Statement…

by: Taj | December 21st, 2012

So Ke$ha has finally spoken out about the controversial (and cryptic) statement she tweeted a few days ago in which claimed she was “forced” to sing “Die Young” after it was pulled from radio following the Sandy Hook tragedy. Turns out she was being overly dramatic at the time due to her overwhelming emotions and she was never “forced” to sing the lyrics that she wrote herself. (No fucking duh!) Instead she says she had concerns about the lyrics. Here is the full statement…

“After such a tragic event I was feeling a lot of emotion and sadness when I said I was forced to sing some of the lyrics to Die Young. Forced is not the right word. I did have some concerns about the phrase “die young” in the chorus when we were writing the lyrics especially because so many of my fans are young and that’s one reason why I wrote so many versions of this song. But the point of the song is the importance of living every day to the fullest and staying young at heart, and these are things I truly believe.”

Well… There you have it. That solves that (not so) intriguing mystery!

Ke$ha’s Says She Was ‘Forced” To Sing “Die Young” As It’s Pulled From Radio…

by: Taj | December 19th, 2012

After the extremely tragic events at Sandy Hooks Elementary School last week, it should come to no surprise that Ke$ha’s latest single (unfortunately titled) “Die Young” has been pulled from most radio programer’s playlists. But according to Ke$ha herself, she is OK with the single being abandoned but not only for the obvious controversial reasons after Connecticut school shooting, but because she wasn’t a fan of the song herself. As a matter of fact, her recent post on Twitter claims that she was “forced” to sing it….

i understand,” she tweeted. “I had my very own issue with “die young” for this reason. I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO. I’m so so so sorry for anyone who has been effected by this tragedy.and I understand why my song is now inappropriate. words cannot express.

Kudos to her for being so responsible and accepting the idea that the song could be construed as lyrically insensitive at this time… Personally, I do not find it offensive but I know some people close to the tragic incident might. But putting that aside, it sounds like there was a lot of behind-the-scenes drama surrounding the single before it was even released! I’m really intrigued to know what she meant by her saying she was “forced” to sing it. Did the Illuminate (that the video for the song supposedly represents) force her to sing the lyrics before she sacrificed a baby lamb to Satan?! I’m hoping she opens up a little more about her remarks…

by: Taj | November 25th, 2012

Months ago, famed producer Dr. Luke previewed a new Ke$ha track called “Supernatural” on his Soundcloud page that sounded very promising! This past week, the full song finally found its way online and I must say the electro-pop track in its full glory blew any expectations I had for the song out of the water! IT’S BEYOND AMAZING!!! Now I am officially excited to hear Ke$ha’s soon to be released Warrior album! Take a listen to K-Dollar Sing-Ha’s ode to ghost-sex and sound off your thoughts on the track in the comment sections!

by: Taj | November 15th, 2012

Ke$ha fans got an early Xmas gift today from the glitter weekend warrior by unveiling a new song titled “C’mon” off of her soon to be released sophomore album today! The track was produced by “Die Young” producer Dr. Luke and sounds like its not-so-distant (and not as attractive) cousin. Still, it’s a fun song worth previewing. Check it out…

Video Premiere: Ke$ha – Die Young

by: Taj | November 9th, 2012

Ke$ha has finally unveiled the visual for her hot new single “Die Young” and after watching the snooze-fest of a Rihanna video, I’m finally awake again!! Even though the clip looks like a cross between a Lady Gaga & Britney Spears music video, I think the ‘Illuminate’ inspired vid is actually better than anything that we’ve seen from either of those two artists in a long while. Check it out…

Ke$ha’s new single “Die Young” has been turned out by the always the man that always delivers, Cosmic Dawn! New Music: Ke$ha – Die Young

by: Taj | September 24th, 2012

While Rihanna is too busy smoking “Diamond” blunts, Ke$ha has got a jump on her pop competition and officially released her new single “Die Young” today! The Benny Blanco and Dr. Luke produced track is a typical electro-pop record you would expect from Ke$ha while it also incorporates some live instruments which also gives it a pop-rock feel! I’m instantly loving this record which was co-written by Fun’s front-man, Nate Reuss! Glad to have some Ke Dollar Sign Ha back on the radio…

Ke$ha Reveals “Warrior” Album Title & Artwork…

by: Taj | September 19th, 2012

Are you stocked up on your glitter yet? Because Ke$ha has just released the artwork for her soon-to-be released new album which (as you can see) she also revealed would be titled “Warrior“.

The colorful image is sooooo ridiculously tacky that I think I kind of like it. This may be a case of ‘it’s so bad that it’s good’ for me but what’s more import is the impending lead single “Die Young,” which is due to drop any day now! I hope the word “tacky” will not be a word I use to describe the music.

Are you feeling this album artwork???

Ke$ha Previews New Song “Die Young” And Released Its Artwork…

by: Taj | September 17th, 2012

Ke$ha has come up with a pretty creative way to tease us with a preview of her new music by taking to the subway trains of Tokyo and singing her forthcoming single “Die Young” at the top of her lungs to a bewildered Japanese audience. LOL! The new song is produced by Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco and was co-written by the “We R Who We R” singer herself along with Nate Reuss of Fun. Also, take a peep at the newly released artwork for the track posted above which features Ke$ha looking like the regal-clubkid-hippie-warrior-princess that she is! So run to the store and stock up on your glitter because as we all know… When the artwork is unveiled, the release is right around the corner! Excited yet???
