“Live from New York, it’s Katy Perry!!!” That’s right, Katy has snagged herself the prestigious honor of being Saturday Night Live’s music guest on it’s season premiere episode! Katy will be joining host (and SNL alumn) Amy Poehler to ring in the new season. Love both Amy and Katy so I’ll be tuning in for sure… Will you? The new season debuts on Sept 25th.

Another track off of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream album has hit the blogosphere… Except this time around, “Circle The Drain” finds an angry Katy unleashing on her ex. I mean, she’s majorly pissed in this one! (Supposedly the song is about her Gym Class Heroes ex-boyfriend, Travis McCoy!) I kinda like this edgy, angst-ridden Katy! Reminds me of early Alanis Morissette!

The Internet is full of music rumors these days, it’s hard to tell what’s real and what isn’t… Britney Spears seems to lead the pack when it comes to this kind of gossip. Ever other day we’re hearing a new false story about her new album which her manager shoots down just as quick as they started. And it’s not just the fans that get confused by these factious stories… This week, Snoop Dog filmed this video shout-out/rumor buster to Britney Spears after he “heard” that he was collaborating with her on her new album. This is what “d” “o” double “g” had to say…

“Britney Spears, what up? It’s big Snoop Dogg. Hit me up so quick and so fast. Somebody sent me a song, said that you me on your album. I don’t know if it’s true, if it is hit me back real quick”

In all honesty, I think this is Snoop’s way of garnering some hype for the song that they probably already have in the can. After working with Katy Perry and Robyn… I can totally see him on a Britney track!

Today Katy Perry has released a new track from her soon to be released Teenage Dream album called “Not Like The Movies” that I’m IN LOVE with! You won’t find a high energy dance beat, tongue-in-cheek lyrics or a guest rapper on this new track… It’s a beautiful ballad that showcases Katy’s amazing song writing and vocal abilities! I just found this cool little collaboration between two of the hottest pop stars out there right now, Katy Perry & Ke$ha. The 80′s inspired little ditty is called “True Love” and is pretty adorable.
