Janet Jackson must really be starving for attention these days! First she partakes in that controversial fur-coat photoshoot and now she tells UK’s Metro that she’s interested in working with Lady Gaga. SAY IT AIN’T SO JANET! Here’s what she had to say of a possible Gaga collaboration…
“What I love about Gaga is her story, where she came from”
“Before she made it, before anyone knew who she was, I knew who she was and, to see her finally make it, I was so happy,”
“If we were to work together that would be cool.”
I think I would prefer seeing Janet in those awful fur coats before seeing her romp around with Gaga! Besides… I honestly think we’re gonna see a Gaga/Madonna collaboration before Janet ever gets a chance. :-/
It’s pretty comment knowledge that R&B crooner Ne-Yo was working with the great King of Pop, Michael Jackson, right before his untimely death on new material. In a recent interview, the “Beautiful Monster” singer revealed that the material that he wrote for M.J. has been weighing heavily on his mind and that he has been considering giving the music to Michael’s younger sister Janet to record…
“I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with those songs. I can’t give them to anybody else because they were written for Michael. That would be disrespectful.
So if I could get Janet and the brothers to do a collaborative tribute, that would be a great idea. There are about 10 he personally selected. He told me, ‘I like this one, this one, this one.’ I can’t just put them out by myself because again they were meant for him but they’re really good songs, it’s good quality music.”
I think giving the songs to Janet would probably be a better idea than giving them to her brothers that barley have any sorts of singing careers left. Hell, I would give the songs to La Toya before Tito. LOL!
Congrats to Britney Spears who has officially become the highest selling artist of the 2000′s after selling over 100 Million records to date! Accrding to the RIAA, Britney is now in the ranks with Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey. I’m not the biggest fan of Britney’s but I think it’s safe to say that she has now secured the title “living legend” with a feat like this. Let’s just hope that she can keep this momentum going unlike the other ladies I mentioned who have suffered in the “sales” department with their last efforts.
PETA has finally responded to Janet Jackson’s new Blackglama mink coat ad campaign and rather than taking the high road and simply stating why they oppose her endorsement of fur… They have decided to punch below the belt and attack Janet’s career. Here is the official statement from PETA;
“It’s amazing what celebrities will do when their careers are on a downslide, but we didn’t think that Janet was this desperate. Surely she knows enough about suffering and unjustified death to recognize that both occur in the production of a fur coat. We are asking her to think again and to donate these stolen skins to be used as bedding for animals orphaned by other human-caused disasters, such as loss of habitat.”

You just KNOW PETA is having a hissy fit as we speak!! Check out Janet Jackson sproting a mink coat in an her new ad campaign for Blackglama. I’m actually SHOCKED that Janet chose to endorse wearing fur. She comes off as the type of celebrity that tries to please everyone and tries to avoid stirring up any kind of controversy! Besides the fact that she’s wearing a dead animal around her body, she looks great otherwise and I love that she’s still flaunting that short ‘do!

Do you guys see some similiarities between Janet Jackson’s big Essence Music Festival comeback concert and Kylie Minogue’s 2010 North American tour? Did the same person stylize both shows?? The color scheme may be different but I’m seeing a lot of the same influences. Is it just me…?
I knew it would only be a matter of time before some fan footage of Janet Jackson’s concert appearance at this years Essence Music Festival would pop up online. Janet Jackson made a triumpant return to stage lastnight when she performed a show stopping set at the 2010 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans. It’s been more than 2 years since Janet has hit the stage but according to reports, she kept the audience of their feet for over 2 hours reminding them why seeing her in concert is worth the wait! Glad to have you back in the swing of things, Mrs. Jackson if you’re Nasty!
