Madonna unleashed her notorious inner diva bitch this week on a couple of unsuspecting fans at the Chile stop of her MDNA tour who were smoking cigarettes in the audience during her soundcheck. The “Girl Gone Wild” went got “fired up like a smoking gun” when she notices the culprits lighting up and went on a pretty scathing rant and threatened to cancel her show after they continued to smoke when she asked them to stop!
I love the woman and I am totally on her side when it comes to being an anti-smoking advocate… Especially since I know how extremely damaging second-hand smoke can be to the vocal-cords first hand… But I also think if she feels this strongly about it, she should stop glamorizing the nasty habit by posing with lit cigarettes in fashion shoots and smoking them in her music video’s (“Girl Gone Wild” being her latest clip that she co-stars with a ciggy!)
That aside, these guys deserved the tongue lashing since her shows are “non-smoking” events and they made her ask them more than once! On the bring side, at least they weren’t smoking hydrangeas!
Madonna at 54 has proven once again that she still holds the coveted title “Queen of Pop” this week after Billboard has released their 2012 year-end reader’s poll results. Billboard’s readers have weighed in on their favorite artists, songs and albums of 2012 and to no surprise, Madonna has emerged as the 2012 MVP and came out on top in 5 categories: ”Favorite Billboard 200 No. 1 album (MDNA),” “Best Tour (MDNA TOUR),” “Best TV Performance (Superbowl Halftime Show),” “Most Memorable Feud (Madonna vs Gaga)” & of course “2012 MVP”!

Looks like Madonna is really getting back to her raunchy roots lately! First her music video for her single “Girl Gone Wild” gets banned from not MTV but Youtube (since Youtube is where people actually watch music vids nowadays) and now the newly released commercial for her new fragrance Truth or Dare has been deemed too racy for ABC! The black and white ad which is set to the Offer Nissim remix of “Girl Gone Wild” features a sexy Madge wearing s&m inspired lingerie, a mask and a harness. The clip looks more like a long lost scene from her “Erotica” music video than a commercial intended for television! Hot!!! And since the pop icon has been very publicly petitioning to lasso Quentin Tarantino to direct a music video for her very edgy MDNA track “Gang Bang,” I have a feeling she’s planning on getting ‘banned’ a few more times this era.
Madonna has FINALLY made her official comeback today with the release of her EPIC music video for her current single “Girl Gone Wild“. The black & white clip which was the directorial debut for fashion photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott featured the Madonna that we have all missed for a long time… The beautiful, confident, sex-vixen that can out-dance her pop peers half her age and that she can successfully combine sexuality with religious symbolism while not making it look too crass. (No, you won’t see her swallowing a rosary anywhere here!)
Madonna’s big gay extravaganza (A.K.A. “Girl Gone Wild” music video) might very well be one of her best of her entire career and is definitely better than a lot of half-ass visual efforts we’ve seen from her over her last 3 eras. (“Get Together, “Give It To Me“,”Celebration” just to name a few.) After the campy and “cute” (at best) “Give Me All Your Luvin’” clip, this video single-handedly reestablishes Madonna as a force to be reckoned in the pop industry! It’s a clear sign that Madge is back and is in it to win it!! It also sends a message to her impersonators that while they are too busy stealing from her, she can steal it right back and do it better than she did the first time around! The woman only gets better with age so as much as people want to count her out, she ain’t going nowhere anytime soon. Don’t believe me…? Just watch the clip and sit down!
Madonna, Madonna & more Madonna!!! Here’s my daily Madonna mega-post (to condense 3 posts into 1)!
First up… Madonna revealed another amazing MDNA preview today! Today’s track is called “Beautiful Killer” and is giving us a serious case of 80′s new-wave throwback REALNESS! I have to say that the last few tracks Madge has revealed off of her new effort are definitely getting me excited for the full LP! They might not all be #1 radio hits but they definitely will cater to her hardcore fans who appreciate her efforts to take a chance and try a new sound.
Next up are these crazy pictures (posted below) that the big M posted today on her Facebook page. They show the “Girl Gone Wild” singer training to balance on a tight rope as a part of a her rehearsal for her upcoming tour! Is she seriously going to attempt this?! Guess we’ll have to wait for the tour tour to see if this ‘Girl’s Gone CRAZY’!
Finally, congrats to Madonna who has scored her 41st #1 Billboard Dance/Club Play hit this week when her single “Gimme All Your Luvin’” reached the top spot thanks to the remix package which included the highly addictive LMFAO remix! The song is definitely a floor-packer here in my sets as is her latest single and future #1 dance hit, “Girl Gone Wild“!
Madonna continues to preview her MDNA album today when she revealed this clip of a new track titled “Falling Free“. So far, many hardcore fans have hailed this pretty ballad as THE BEST they’ve heard from the LP. I like what I’m hearing so far and I love a good ballad but my heart is with Madonna’s dance records from what I’ve heard so far. Still, sounds like a good song nonetheless. To keep my Madonna posts to a minimum, I might as well shoot two birds with one stone and also post these tour rehearsal pictures that M posted on her Facebook page over the last few days. Both feature the “Give Me All Your Luvin’” singer slinging a gun! The first pic she posted shows Madge laying on top of a pile of her female dancers looking very much like a band of bandits with a caption that read, “Guess what song this is for???.. I can’t say“. I’m guessing “Girl Gone Wild” is going to get a ‘wild west’ treatment! The second shows Madge waving a gun in the air with the caption; “My loves a revolver“! Does this mean we’re going to see her grossly under-rated single “Revolver” as a live performance for the first time ever or is she just teasing us??!! Either way, I’m excited for the show. (Which I will be seeing in Chicago this time around!)
Another day, another Madonna remix to post. While the entire remix package for her current single “Girl Gone Wild” has been released and includes mixes by 4 different remix producers, I think the only two worth posting are the Dave Aude (which I posted yesterday) and Offer Nissim remix which I’m devoting this post to! I believe this is the first time Nissim has OFFICIALLY remixed the Queen of Pop and I have to give the guy some major credit… He did an AMAZING JOB! Offer basically took Madonna’s party anthem across the globe and let it ‘go wild’ overseas… Middle Eastern style! I love the dramatic male vocals he incorporated in the remix giving it an unique new twist! (Can anyone translate the non-English vocals btw? I’m assuming it’s in Hebrew?) Take a listen to Offer Nissim’s exotic rendezvous with Madonna and tell me if you’re feeling it…

As if I wasn’t “wild” enough about Madonna’s latest single “Girl Gone Wild” after the music video teaser that dropped today, check out the new Dave Aude remix of the hot cut! Looks like Dave pulled out Madge’sConfessions CD and looked to “I Love New York” for some rocked out inspiration for this production! Also, I am absolutely LIVING for the spoken prayer intro that Dave uses as a adrenalin inducing build up mid-song!
The album version of Madonna’s latest single “Girl Gone Wild” has surfaced today and while it pretty much stays true to the radio version that we’ve already heard, it also includes a new sin-tastic spoken prayer intro that’s a reference to her “Act Of Contrition” interlude off of her Like A Prayer album. Fun little throwback to her old-school shenanigans to any red-blooded Madonna stan! Take a listen…

Madonna’s new single “Girl Gone Wild” was just released on Vevo yesterday and we already have an official remix for track! As much as I LOVE the original Benny Benassi production, this Jason Cognito remix is an even better incarnation of the tune! I hope this is the version they send to radio and use for the visual.
