So Ke$ha has finally spoken out about the controversial (and cryptic) statement she tweeted a few days ago in which claimed she was “forced” to sing “Die Young” after it was pulled from radio following the Sandy Hook tragedy. Turns out she was being overly dramatic at the time due to her overwhelming emotions and she was never “forced” to sing the lyrics that she wrote herself. (No fucking duh!) Instead she says she had concerns about the lyrics. Here is the full statement…
“After such a tragic event I was feeling a lot of emotion and sadness when I said I was forced to sing some of the lyrics to Die Young. Forced is not the right word. I did have some concerns about the phrase “die young” in the chorus when we were writing the lyrics especially because so many of my fans are young and that’s one reason why I wrote so many versions of this song. But the point of the song is the importance of living every day to the fullest and staying young at heart, and these are things I truly believe.”
Well… There you have it. That solves that (not so) intriguing mystery!
After the extremely tragic events at Sandy Hooks Elementary School last week, it should come to no surprise that Ke$ha’s latest single (unfortunately titled) “Die Young” has been pulled from most radio programer’s playlists. But according to Ke$ha herself, she is OK with the single being abandoned but not only for the obvious controversial reasons after Connecticut school shooting, but because she wasn’t a fan of the song herself. As a matter of fact, her recent post on Twitter claims that she was “forced” to sing it….
“i understand,” she tweeted. “I had my very own issue with “die young” for this reason. I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO. I’m so so so sorry for anyone who has been effected by this tragedy.and I understand why my song is now inappropriate. words cannot express.”
Kudos to her for being so responsible and accepting the idea that the song could be construed as lyrically insensitive at this time… Personally, I do not find it offensive but I know some people close to the tragic incident might. But putting that aside, it sounds like there was a lot of behind-the-scenes drama surrounding the single before it was even released! I’m really intrigued to know what she meant by her saying she was “forced” to sing it. Did the Illuminate (that the video for the song supposedly represents) force her to sing the lyrics before she sacrificed a baby lamb to Satan?! I’m hoping she opens up a little more about her remarks…
Ke$ha has finally unveiled the visual for her hot new single “Die Young” and after watching the snooze-fest of a Rihanna video, I’m finally awake again!! Even though the clip looks like a cross between a Lady Gaga & Britney Spears music video, I think the ‘Illuminate’ inspired vid is actually better than anything that we’ve seen from either of those two artists in a long while. Check it out…
Ke$ha’s new single “Die Young” has been turned out by the always the man that always delivers, Cosmic Dawn! Why this guy isn’t getting official releases makes me scratch my head since his productions constantly pack my floor while the official mixes that I’m usually serviced fall flat! Take a listen to his latest masterpiece…
I am LIVING for this new mashup of Ke$ha’s new single “Die Young” with Nervo’s “You’re Going To Love Again“!!! The original track is fun and cute but this mash gives the song a big-floor club treatment that will have the crowd begging for mercy! Check it out…

While Rihanna is too busy smoking “Diamond” blunts, Ke$ha has got a jump on her pop competition and officially released her new single “Die Young” today! The Benny Blanco and Dr. Luke produced track is a typical electro-pop record you would expect from Ke$ha while it also incorporates some live instruments which also gives it a pop-rock feel! I’m instantly loving this record which was co-written by Fun’s front-man, Nate Reuss! Glad to have some Ke Dollar Sign Ha back on the radio…

Are you stocked up on your glitter yet? Because Ke$ha has just released the artwork for her soon-to-be released new album which (as you can see) she also revealed would be titled “Warrior“.
The colorful image is sooooo ridiculously tacky that I think I kind of like it. This may be a case of ‘it’s so bad that it’s good’ for me but what’s more import is the impending lead single “Die Young,” which is due to drop any day now! I hope the word “tacky” will not be a word I use to describe the music.
Ke$ha has come up with a pretty creative way to tease us with a preview of her new music by taking to the subway trains of Tokyo and singing her forthcoming single “Die Young” at the top of her lungs to a bewildered Japanese audience. LOL! The new song is produced by Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco and was co-written by the “We R Who We R” singer herself along with Nate Reuss of Fun. Also, take a peep at the newly released artwork for the track posted above which features Ke$ha looking like the regal-clubkid-hippie-warrior-princess that she is! So run to the store and stock up on your glitter because as we all know… When the artwork is unveiled, the release is right around the corner! Excited yet???
