I’ve taken a few month hiatus from blogging but was compelled to come out of hibernation today to give you guys this gem of a remix! The other day I got a hold of the ‘official’ remixes being worked by the label for Beyonce’s “Formation“. Sorry to report to the Bey-Hive but they were not that great! I was very disappointed with them but I’m not a huge fan of the song in its original form so it would really take an EPIC rework to get me on board with this song. Just when I was ready to write it off, that’s when Barry Harris stepped in and dropped this massive bootleg remix that blows all other mixes I’ve heard out of the water! Don’t believe me? Listen for yourself!!!
So my least favorite track on Beyonce’s (now practically forgotten about new album) “***Flawless” has received a Country Club Martini remix!! Though they definitely improved on the snooze of a song, I’m still not a fan of the song itself but Beyonce better ‘bow down’ to CCM for making her song tolerable!!
Finally we have a great EDM style remix of Beyonce’s “Pretty Hurts” that I can actually drop in the peak hour of my set!! Production team Dirty Pop (Drew G & Brian Cua) delivered the hands-in-the-air rager that will torch dance floors across the globe!! This is hands down my favorite remix of the song! (Sorry R3HAB) Check it out…
Beyonce gets an EDM rework for her new single “Pretty Hurts” by R3hab and I’m really feeling it! This isn’t the typical, hardcore chainsaw style production you would come to expect from R3hab which I think wouldn’t work for this song. Instead he chose to give us something more on the “pretty” side of EDM. (no pun intended) Take a listen…
Here’s another great remix coming off of Beyonce’s snooze-fest of a “ground breaking” visual album! Country Club Martini have reworked her ballad “Pretty Hurts” into a bouncy dance-pop number! Take a listen…
Since I know that we would never be getting any real answers from Beyonce’s camp about the now infamous Solange vs Jay-Z elevator smackdown, I decided to so some digging of my own! Though I didn’t find the answers as to what started the brawl, I did discover something very interesting which may explain Solange’s involvement in the first place… Read the rest of this entry »
Looks like Jay-Z can add one more problem to his list of 99 thanks to Bey’s little sister Solange!TMZ posted footage taken from a security camera in an elevator at the Met Gala that took place in NYC last week which shows Beyonce’s sister violently attacking her husband. For most of the video, Beyonce stands back and doesn’t look like she’s trying to get too involved with the wild dispute. No word as to what this physical was all about but rumors are running ramped. Maybe she just found out that Jay never mailed his reference letter for Solange’s Illuminate membership application… ?
Here’s the full report and video via TMZ;
“Jay Z was ferociously assaulted by Beyonce‘s sister Solange … who was wildly kicking and swinging at him inside an elevator … and the attack was captured on surveillance video … obtained by TMZ.
According to our sources, it all went down at a Met Gala after party last week at the Standard Hotel in NYC. In the video … Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange step into the elevator … and then Solange goes crazy, screaming at Jay before unleashing a violent attack.
A large man — who appears to be a bodyguard — attempts to hold Solange back, but she manages to connect at least 3 times. At one point Solange throws a kick and Jay grabs her foot, but never attempts to strike her. Beyonce stands by without getting physically involved.
It’s unclear what triggered the fight.
And this is interesting. When you look closely, you see the bodyguard hit the emergency stop switch on the 12th floor — mid fight — presumably to keep the fight private.
All three walked out of the building together — Solange looks pissed — but while Bey and Solange get in one car … security walks Jay to a different one. “
Ok, so this whole attempt to take a break from the blog while Sound Off 2.0 is being designed is not working out so well… This is the second post that I have come out of hibernation for to share with you guys. So apperently Miley Cyrus just did an interview with LOVE magazine in which the twerk-challeneged pop tart compares herself to Beyonce and claims that she’s got more game than B right now. No joke! According to reports, this is what Miley has to say about herself…
“Beyonce has been a big inspiration to me but she’s been out for such a long time. She’s so talented and I think she’s at the top of the game now but people are always looking for new blood and that’s what I bring to the game now, new blood.”
“I got the total package you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice. I’m just the best.”
“As Beyoncé grows in motherhood and all the crap it does to your body, it will create a vacuum for fresh young faces to rise up and no one else can properly fill that void right now. I’m the only white female singer that could fill that slot right now and do it right, you know?”
“I just feel like I was born for this time right now. I’m just the total package, you know? All things must start and end and I hope to have the same success as other icons in the game when my run is over. But for now, my run is just starting.”
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t have a lot of love for Beyonce right now but even I can be objective enough to say that Miley has been hitting the bong a little too much lately if she’s serious with this shit talk! And what’s all this mess about people wanting “new blood”? Girl has been selling her Hana Montana hiney since she was 10 years old. Yes, she has a few hits right now (that I am a fan of) but I honestly don’t see this Miley train chugging along for much longer. She’s done a great job obtaining some attention for herself with a couple of well crafted songs along with her painfully transparent shock tactics but she just doesn’t have that certain x-factor that stars such as Rihanna, Beyonce and Madonna have… The kind she has been trying to so desperately to emulate as an obvious attempt to try to distance herself from her Hana Montana past. It’s won’t be too long before the masses start to get bored of her forced shenanigans and she’ll go back to singing duets with her dad, Billy Ray.
What do you guys think? Is Miley the next big thing next to Beyonce?
Here’s a few more Beyonce mixes before I go to bed. Gonna keep my commentary short and sweet! I really like these! Thank God for Ralphi Rosario & Nervo! I’ve heard better from Tiesto but hey… Not much you can do with this song!
Beyonce – Grown Woman (Ralphi Rosario Remix):
Beyonce – Grown Woman (Nervo Remix):
Beyonce – Standing On The Sun (Tiesto Remix):
Poor, poor, poor Beyonce… We’ve heard three new songs off of her still-unreleased new album. One of them is so awful it’s not worth mentioning ever again while the other two are just “ok” which leaves us waiting for the remixes to rescue them from complete pop-oblivion. Well we’ve got a decent remix of “Grown Woman” thanks to Monsieur Ali, and today I was excited to discover that WaWa have remixed her other decent but not amazing single “Standing On The Sun“. Unfortunately, as much as I love WaWa productions… This one falls flat considering the song in its original form just doesn’t lend itself well to be remixed into a dance number!
Is it just me or does is seem like this entire new Beyonce era has flopped before it even started?!
Are you ready to see the most disappointing 4 minutes of Beyonce’s career? Check out this teaser for the music video treatment to her supposed “buzz” single “Bow Down” which was released months ago so (putting the fact that the song is God awful aside) I don’t think even the stans would even be excited for a music video treatment at this point. And 4 seconds?!! That’s not a tease… That’s just mocking her fans. When’s Rihanna coming back?!
Yesterday, some of the world’s biggest a-lister performers/feminists banded together in London to take part in the Chime For Change concert which benefits and promotes education, health and justice for women! Here are some of the highlights from the show, including full performances from Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Florence & The Machine, Ellie Goulding and Madonna’s inspirational speech

We can finally listen to Beyonce’s hotly anticipated new single “Grown Woman” in full and studio quality today! The song has made its way onto the internet setting the Bey-Hive abuzz! After listening to the song in full, I am convinced more than every that I actually like the song. I’m not jumping out of my seat & dancing on the ceiling over it… It’s just not that exciting or engaging but I don’t absolutely hate it like “Bow Down” either.
I’m curious as to how this single will fair on the charts since I feel like we’ve been teased for months now thanks to the Pepsi commercial it was featured in, multiple online snippets we’ve been hearing and footage of a live performance from her current European tour that’s been passed around online. I almost feel like we’ve already been hearing the song (or parts of it at least) for so long now that it might have lost the wow-factor that most songs rely on to excite fans into purchasing the song on initial release. Take a listen and tell me what you think of “Grown Woman“…
