So the song we’ve all been waiting to hear in full from Beyonce’s Pepsi commercial, “Grown Woman“, can finally be heard in all of it’s glory thanks to this fan-footage that someone recorded at Bey’sMrs. Carter Tour. Though it isn’t the best audio recording, it’s good enough to get a gist of what we should expect. I actually like what I’m hearing so far… Is it amazing? No. Is it debut single worthy? Not really. Is it better than that mess of a “song” “Bow Down” that she worried teased us with? HELL TO THE MUTHA FUCKIN’ YES!! So if Beyonce’s strategy by leaking “Bow Down” first was to disappoint us so badly that when she released anything mediocre level and up afterwards, we would instantly love it out of relief that it wasn’t garbage… Mission accomplished! While Beyonce continues to procrastinate release her new single “Grown Woman” which is already featured in a Pepsi commercial… The powers that be have released another short preview of the song. UPDATE: Here’s a longer clip. The new track is produced by Timberland and if I’m hearing correctly I think we’re getting a little Justin Timberlake on background vocals. OK, now that I’m hearing a little more of the song… I think I’m starting to feeling it!

So the other day I reported how Beyonce’s publicist contacted a famous blogger and asked him to remove “unflattering” action-shot photos of the “Single Ladies” singer taken from her massively watched Super Bowl halftime performance this past weekend. The blogger of course did not respond to the ridiculous request and instead wrote an article about how desperate her people are to manipulate the media to make sure she has a “picture perfect” image in every aspect of the meaning.
In a hilarious turn of events, since the blogger posted his article about the phone call/email her received it seems that some of the pictures have gone viral all over the Internet as fans and critics alike are taking to photoshop to spoof the buffed out diva! Karma’s a bitch! Here are just a few of the parody photos…

So I found this little “behind-the-scenes” tidbit to be very interesting… After a popular blogger at Buzzfeed.com wrote a pretty fun & positive article about Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime performance, B’s publicist contacted the blogger and asked him to remove some of the photos in the article that she found to be “unflattering” of the “Love On Top” singer. As if 108.4 million viewers didn’t witness these “unflattering” moments themselves when it happened live in action on Sunday.
So being the awesome blog that they are, the people over at Buzzfeed did not bend over backwards for this ANNOYING attempt to control all aspects of the media on Beyonce’s team’s part and instead wrote a new article to publicly call them out and post the ridiculous email that B’s publicist sent to the bloggers… Oh and not to mention, took the opportunity to REPOST all of the “unflattering” photos. HAHA!
Sorry team B, this one goes to team Buzzfeed! Goes to show that you can’t have your cake and eat it too. You want to be in the spotlight? Then you’re going to be in the spotlight – THE GOOD AND THE BAD. You want to sing for the President? Then you need to SING for the President and expect repercussions if you decide that you just can’t make time for rehearsals and want to lip synch instead. Who run the world? The people/fans/blogs/ect who put you where you are so stop trying to shade them!

So as I’m sure you’ve all heard already… Beyonce is sitting in the hot seat today after a member of the U.S. Marine Band dropped a bombshell and claimed that Beyonce lip-synched her National Anthem performance at President Obama’s second inauguration yesterday. Supposedly, Beyonce requested the pre-reocrded backing-track last minute and cited insufficient rehearsal-time with the band as her reason for lipping. Since then, the member of the band that broke the story has been silenced and a representative for the Marines has released a statement trying to put out the fire by saying “no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded“.
But the damage may have already been done! Seems like you just can’t escape this story right now… It’s all over Twitter, Facebook, music blogs, television and radio. Some people are calling fowl and seemed deeply offended that Beyonce would resort to such studio-trickery when performing for the President. Others are defending the Super Bowl half-time show’s star entertainer by claiming that the inauguration is much too important of a gig that is watched by millions to risk any sort of snag or missed note. We all know what happens if you screw up the National Anthem these days. While some others simply refuse to believe there is any truth behind these claims at all even though the women who played in the Marine band told multiple news outlets, including CNN and The New York Times, that this was the case…
So while the Internet is a-buzz crucifying/defending Beyonce, I want to hear what my readers think about the “controversy”… Are you on “team B” or are you burning your “Single Ladies” CD-single as we speak?! Ready, set, SOUND OFF…
When it came down to the entertainment for President Obama’s second inauguration, the White House took no chances in making sure our prez was represent by the best of the best vocalists in the business! Kelly Clarkson & Beyonce both were called upon to sing their rendition of “My Country Tis Of Thee” (Clarkson) and “The National Anthem” (Beyonce).

When I first heard that the birth place of Beyonce (Destiny’s Child of course…) was releasing a new compilation album titled Love Songs which included a new previously unreleased track titled “Nuclear,” I practically spontaneously combusted into a mushroom cloud of excitement!! But when I actually got ahold of & listened to the new track today, my explosive excitement sputtered out like a wet wick and I was left with the suspicion that Beyonce just doesn’t want to release anything from her former girl-group that may outshine her own solo single which is due any day now. I mean, when I think Destiny’s Child I think “Say My Name” or “Loose My Breath” or “Survivor“… Not this bore-fest of a song with a dated 90′s beat sample.
Take a listen for yourself… Preferably before bed because it might put you to sleep.
Rumors were floating around earlier this week that Justin Timberlake was finally going to release a new single on Monday which supposedly also featured assistance by Beyonce, Jay-Z & his old time studio partner-in-crime, Timbaland! When the online rumblings came and went with Monday, some lost hope then just hours ago Justin himself tweeted the following message on his official Twitter which also prompted a response by Timbaland!
Could it be true?!! Has Justin finally crawled out his hyper-extended musical hiatus?!! And is he really dueting with Beyonce & Jay-Z?!! Guess we’ll find out tomorrow but it would make sense considering Beyonce is about to make her musical return as well just before her big stint with the Super Bowl. WAIT!! More importantly if this all pans out to be true, I think the bigger question to ask is… Will Justin make a cameo in Beyonce’s Super Bowl performance and permanently sabotage her career a-la the Janet Jackson nipple-gate fiasco?!! Can’t wait to find out…

Justin released this teaser video on his official website today in which he explains long musical hiatus and then proclaims that he’s “ready” at the end of the clip… The video then leads into a clock counting down which is set to expire on Sunday at midnight! Looks like we’re going to have to wait a few more days before we hear new music from Justin.
When I first heard that Beyonce was going to release a music video for her ballad “I Was Here” to mark World Humanitarian Day (August 19), which honors volunteers who risk their own safety to help others, I though to myself; “Great! Is she not done boring us to death with that album and its mundane music videos?”… But to my surprise, this is one of the best videos to come off of the album since “Run The World“! It’s very simple but very powerful! Who knew that one of my favorite vids to spawn from the 4 album era would be a live concert footage video?! Grab some tissue and check it out…
The man behind the instrumentation that was sampled in Beyonce’s “Run The World (Girls)” has made a pretty wig-snatching comment today about the use of his song “Pon Di Floor” in her club-anthem. Diplo spoke to OkayPlayer.com this week and pretty much admitted that he wasn’t thrilled about the use of his music in the Beyonce track (which he did agree to, btw) or his “dabbling” in pop music in general. Here’s what the controversy-seeking producer had to say;
“Sometimes I make records I don’t even like. I’m working on some pop artists, like I’m not even that excited about the Beyoncé record. I didn’t have full control of those records, but this is stuff that helps me parlay into different things.
I’m on a path that I want to take advantage of, so I can also go this direction if I want to, but I can’t control what the audience wants to hear.”
I’m sure he “not even that excited about” the money he’s deposited in his account after the label paid him for the use of the song either.
Ever since the “big shake-up” on US X Factor, there has been all kinds of speculations and rumors floating around as to who Simon Cowell would cast as judges to replace Paula Abdul as well as Nicole Scherzinger. The two ladies where let go because the show failed to generate the viewership that Simon and network execs where hoping for during its first season. Naturally, everyone assumes that Cowell is going for the big guns season two so a lot of chatter started to surface speculating that Simon was approaching Beyonce as well as Mariah Carey for the gig.
In the last week or so, these rumors have been spreading like wildfire even though Mariah’s husband, Nick Cannon, flat out denied her involvement stating that Mariah was “too big an artist” to do a show like that. (And let’s face it, if Mariah’s too big so is Beyonce!) So FINALLY Simon Cowell saw it necessary to face the camera’s with Extra and address these stories first hand. Will either of the diva’s join the cast?? Watch and find out…
So the answer is “NO”! And if you watch the interview, Simon makes it clear that it’s a BIG “NO”!!! According to the sharped tongue Brit, they’re both way too busy… Meaning that “they’re too big of an artist”.
Today Beyonce and hubby Jay-Z have become the proud parents of their first child, a baby girl named Ivy Blue Carter. Also kudos to the couple for giving a unique but not a completely ridiculous name!! (No offense Solange) Joking aside… Congrats to Beyonce and hubby Jay-Z!!!
