In the newest issue of Vanity Fair, Lady Gaga has revealed to the world something that I already knew… She still uses cocaine! The “Bad Romance” singer told the mag that despite her battle with drug addiction in her (somewhat recent) past, she “occasionally” still uses the drug but she’s “terrified of heroin”. (I guess we’re suppose to applaud her for her avoidance of heroin.) After making the controversial revelation about her cocaine usage, Gaga went on to play a little damage control and go on about how her fans should not follow in her footsteps…
“I won’t lie; it’s occasional. And when I say occasional, I mean maybe a couple of times a year.”
“I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way. I don’t want my fans to think they have to be that way to be great. It’s in the past. It was a low point, and it led to disaster.”
“I was completely mental and had just been through so much. I hit rock bottom, and it was enough to send a person over the edge. My mother knew the truth about that day, and she screamed so loud on the other end of the phone, I’ll never forget it.”
“It was actually my Grandmother who I credit for saving me one day. I cried. I told her I thought my life was over and I have no hope and I’ve worked so hard, and I knew I was good. What would I do now? And she said, ‘I’m gonna let you cry for a few more hours. And then after those few hours are up, you’re gonna stop crying, you’re gonna pick yourself up, you’re gonna go back to New York, and you’re gonna kick some ass.’”
I think this girl is still so strung out that she doesn’t remember her own stories anymore. In this interview, it was her Grandmother that saved her from her drug addiction. In another, it was her father… In another, it was her dead aunt. Either this girl has two functioning brain cells remaining or she’s making all this shit up and laughing all the way to the bank. Either way, it’s sad.
Gaga also revealed in the VF interview that she is currently celibate because she is afraid that someone will suck her creative energy out of her vagina. No seriously… She thinks this!
“I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they’re going to take my creativity from me through my vagina… I’m perpetually lonely. I’m lonely when I’m in relationships. It’s my condition as an artist… I’m drawn to bad romances. And my song ‘Bad Romance’ is about whether I go after those [sort of relationships] or if they find me. I’m quite celibate now; I don’t really get time to meet anyone.”
Yeah… That doesn’t sound like the thought process of a current drug abuser at all!
Lady Gaga’s been on a little hiatus from the headlines lately… It’s been nice getting a little break from the pop sensation because I was really getting sick of reading about her 24/7 while scouring the Internet for potential articles to post for you guys. Today I cam across this new shot of the “Bad Romance” singer on the cover of West magazine and thought I would post it for my resident “little monsters”. Is it just me or does this photo look REALLY Photoshopped?? Especially her hair! ;-P
Uh oh… It’s about to get ugly between Lady Gaga’s “Little Monsters” and Justin Bieber’s “Beliebers”. The Bieb’s has just surpassed Lady Gaga’s record for the most Youtube views with his annoying adorable music video, “Baby“. Bebier fans have managed to sit around and watch the video over 247 million times helping it surpass Gaga’s “Bad Romance” as the most viewed Youtube video in history!! (Is it really that good?) Both artists are known for having hard-core, fanatical (a.k.a. crazy) followers so I have a feeling this Youtube battle is gonna get ugly.
Anyone that reads my blog knows that I am NOT a fan of this girl, but I always give her credit when credit is due…. I thought Lady Gaga put on a great performance on the Today Show Summer Concert Series today. She kicked off the show with a soulful rendition of “Someone To Watch Over Me” then went straight into her massive hit “Bad Romance“. In the second video she performed a new song off of her new album called “You and I” which sounds like an Elton John/Billy Joel inspired number. (Good song that’ll never be a single.) Finally she performed current single “Alejandro” then ended the show by rolling around on the stage in the rain with a rendition of “Teeth” off of The Fame Monster album.
Speaking of Lady Gaga… I guess I wasn’t the only one annoyed by her half naked antics at the Yankees vs. Mets game on Friday. The “Bad Romance” singer apparently caused quite a stir after the game when her and her entourage infiltrated the team’s clubhouse without proper permission. According to the New York Post, a liquored-up Gaga crashed the clubhouse dressed in only her underwear and an unbuttoned Yankees jersey. She apparently could barely string together coherent sentences as she fawned over several players while groping her breasts. The team’s co-chairman Hal Steinbrenner became unglued over the incident and has evidently permanently banned the singer from the team’s clubhouse.
This cringe-worthy incident comes only a week after the “newcomer” caused a huge controversy at a Mets game by showing up in her underwear and flipping off any fans or paparazzi who paid her too much attention. She was eventually moved to comedian Jerry Seinfeld’s sky box, prompting the team’s management to issue a public apology for breaching Seinfeld’s privacy.
Lady Gaga might just wanna prove to the world once and for all that she doesn’t have a penis by posing for Playboy. Supposedly the “Bad Romance” singer is seriously considering posing in her birthday suit for Hugh Hefner’s infamous skin mag despite strong opposition by her friends and record label. Many of Gaga’s closets associates have warnedher that posing for the magazine might be viewed as “low brow & cheesy” and may alienate her fans who “like her edgy appeal”. Gaga on the other hand seems to see the opportunity as a chance to grow as an artist and views it as just another form of expression. Gaga also says that if she does the shoot, it like nothing Playboy has every seen before… Which basically means that it will look just like Madonna’sSEX book.
Christina Aguilera has broken her silence and has responded to the recent accusations that she is trying to “copy” Lady Gaga. (The accusations coming from Gaga’s camp, of course.) Rather than get overly defensive and counter attacking the “Bad Romance” singer… Christina chose to take the high road when asked about the comparison in US Weekly and says she shrugs such comments off;
“It just comes with the territory. That, in particular, is not even worth wasting the breath to comment on. I’ve been around for over a decade and I think my work speaks for myself.”
“[If she was younger] I would have engaged, been a little upset. There’s a bigger picture out there. I’ve got my son, my family, my work.”
I think Christina is in a stage of her career where she just isn’t concerned about the petty drama that comes with the industry as she use to. She’s just trying to put out a good record that she spent years of tears, blood and sweat creating and could care less what a newbie with an ego thinks about her. I’m on team Aguilera on this one, but that should come with no surprise.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted something positive about Lady Gaga on my blog… But then again it’s been a while since I’ve seen her do something I like. Today Lady Gaga performed in Tokyo, Japan in concert which benefits MAC Foundation’s VIVA GLAM campaign and judging from the pictures that have surface of the performance… It looked like an amazing spectacle. At one point of her show, the “Bad Romance” singer made it snow on stage. Looks surreal in a very japanese anime kinda way.
Oh geez… You can add Nina Hagen to the ever-growing list of celebrity Lady Gaga haters. The German “mother of punk” was recently asked in an interview her feelings on the “Bad Romance” singer and her response was unexpected and very interesting to say the least…
“She is a satanic bitch, with her fascist and demonically-inspired secret sign. Her pop-prostitution has more to do with bikini advertising than warmth. I have always advocated only love, but she only advocates luxury.”
Yes… Lady G does advocate luxury and the superficial but “satanic”??!! I think that’s a bit much!
Here’s a clip of the much anticipated Bimbo Jones remix of Lady Gaga’s new single, “Alejandro“. Cute mix… But not as good as their remix if “Bad Romance“. I’m left wanting a little more from this one, however. Who knows, I may change my mind when I get ahold of a proper, high sound quality file…
