Soulful-pop songstress Alicia Keys has returned with a new single titled “Girl On Fire“! The new mid-tempo Ryan Tedder-esque ballad is very infectious – I’m already hooked after just one listen! An alternate “remixed” version of the song called the “Inferno Remix” has already surfaced but don’t get your hopes up… Not a remix for the clubs but more of a radi friendly version of the original which incorporates a little more of the beat and features a surprisingly not annoying cameo from Nicki Minaj. After posting the very rare Chew Fu remix of Alicia Keys’ single “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart” earlier this week… Another rare remix of the song has come my way. This one was produced by Nu Addiction but was turned by Alicia because she didn’t like the sped up vocals. (I’m gonna have to agree with her on this one) Though I like the instrumentation in this Nu Addiction production… The vocals should have never been sped up this fast. I prefer Chew Fu’s take which slowed down slightly to work at this BPM. Take a listen and tell me what you think…

Alicia Keys has covered the classic Blondie track “Rapture” for the Sex & the City II soundtrack and her rendition is nothing short of amazing!!! I love it and I love how they incorporate the S&TC theme song into the instrumentation… Very clever!
