David Guetta & Akon are back at it once again… This time with a new collaboration called “Once Radio“. Probably one of my favorites from the pair to date!!! A little bit on the “I Gotta Feelin’” side but not an exact carbon copy which makes it forgivable! As far as I know, this track will appear on Akon’s Future of R&B mixtape but not sure if it will also appear on his next album. Great track, check it out…

As played out as David Guetta can be these days… He really can turn out a hot remix!! Check out his new take on Kat Deduna’s single “Push Push” featuring Akon. Much better than the RedOne produced original which failed miserably on the charts! This should have been released as the original.

A rep for the Michael Jackson estate told Rolling Stone magazine that fans can expect a new album featuring 10 previously unreleased songs will be released this November.
MJ left behind computer multiple hard drives filled with unreleased music at the time of his death… His manager Frank DiLeo estimates that Jackson’s treasure chest consists of more than 100 completed never before heard songs, some of which being collaborations with Akon, Darkchild, Will.i.am and Ne-Yo. Apparently, one of the most noteworthy unreleased tracks called “Don’t Be Messin’ Around” is from the Thriller era and is a strong contender for the album’s tracklisting.
The new album of never-before-heard Jackson songs will be the first in a 10-album project/seven-year deal the Jackson estate scored with Sony Music in March, according to Rolling Stone. Looks like Michael will continue to establish his title as the ‘King of Pop’ long after he’s gone.
Kat DeLuna has finally got around to releasing a music video for her single “Push Push” that has been making it’s rounds on the Internet for quite some time now. Cute little video that reminds me of a cross between Lady Gaga’s “Love Game” vid with Rihanna’s “S.O.S.“. The song sounds like your typical RedOne production (which I’m not crazy about) and features a cameo by Akon.
Here we go again with another Akon/David Guetta collaboration. These two guys really seem to have quite the bromance goin’ on in the recording studio… And it seems to be working because I like this new one called “Life of a Superstar“. Check it out…

Lady Gaga’s pimp and label head, Akon, recently talked a lot of smack about Christina Aguilera in an interview with Vibe magazine claiming that “Christina is copying Gaga“. That’s hilarious considering the first time I heard Gaga’s “Just Dance” I thought to myself she sounded like a poor man’s Christina Aguilera. Here’s what Mr. “I assault my fans” had to say about the comparison…
“Aw man, that’s not even any competition. You are actually giving Christina too much credit. She always had her cool little look and way about how she went about things. But soon as Gaga came out everything switched up. Christina stepped out of her own shell to become something different. And the crazy thing is Christina is really talented. She has unlimited range when it comes to singing. Her voice is out of here. I just think she just needs to believe in herself more. I think sometimes she gets insecure because of all of the success Gaga has had not realizing that she was already successful before Gaga came out.”
Akon also took the time to advise Aguilera to showcases more of her dynamic power ballad vocals on her new album and less of the up-tempo, electro pop dance numbers that Gaga is known for;
“Christina shouldn’t have anything to prove or anyone to compete with. I miss the old Christina Aguilera. I like the old one better than the new one. Honestly, Gaga and Christina could probably get together and do something that’s amazing. But that’s impossible if they are both trying to do the same exact thing musically.”
WTF crack pipe did this guys smoke? I think the whole little Gaga clan is getting way too cocky about her string of success and needs to take it down a notch or two. Christina has been around for quite sometime and has been known to re-invent herself for every new album. For her new Bionic album, Christina recruited the likes of Sia, Hill & Switch, Tricky Stewart, Le Tigre, and Ladytron to produce tracks for the record while Lady Gaga works with your run of the mill pop acts such as, RedOne, Colby Odonis & Beyonce. No offense but it sounds like Christina’s attempt at electro pop will be much more edgy and authentic compared to Gaga’s… How did M.I.A. put it? Oh yeah, “90′s Ibiza dance music”.
Akon has been denied a visa to travel to Sri Lanka to perform a concert after angry stone-throwing Buddhists rioted in protested of the stars appearance in their country. All the drama erupted over Akon’s recent video for his hit single “Sexy Chick” in which a Buddha statue appears in a scene alongside a clad of half-naked women – Sri Lanka’s ethnic majority are Buddhists. Here is the statement that was released by a government official over the visa denial;
“Taking into consideration the allegations leveled against the singer Akon, the government had decided not to issue him a visa to conduct the concert in Sri Lanka.“
The “allegation” that Akon was facing was “defaming Buddhism in his music videos” according to the same official. Oh well… Looks like Akon is going to have to take his “Sexy Bitches” elsewhere…
4 people in Sri Lanka were injured today after a riot over an upcoming Akon concert broke out at the capitol, Colombo, and Buddhist protestors hurled stones at a broadcaster’s headquarters. The Buddhists have taken offense to Akon appearing in their country because of his latest video “Sexy Chick” which features a harem females in bikinis, dancing around a pool with a statue of Buddha in the background. Around 200 outraged protestors gathered outside the head office of the broadcasting company which is sponsoring Akon’s show. Police say that the four workers that were involved suffered minor injuries and that office building as well as some vehicles parked outside were damaged in the stoning. Who knew Akon had such an aggressive effect on people?
Check out this interview with Akon where the music star proclaims that signing Lady Gaga onto his label has pretty much ensured him an early retirement. He also talks a bit about the current trend of fusing dance music and hip hop. (Which I am a big fan of, personally.) Akon also reveals that hip hop veteran, Dr. Dre, is about to drop a dance record that he thinks is going to be huge! Exciting… Can’t wait to hear it!
