New Music: Afrojack Ft. Chris Brown – As Your Friend

by: Taj | December 29th, 2012

Afrojack has teamed up with pop music’s bad-boy Chris Brown for his new single titled “As Your Friend“. As much as I really wanted to love this track since I have been a fan of Chris‘ dance tracks and remixes for quite some time now… I can’t say this one has me jumping out of my seat for this new collaboration just yet. It might end up a grower but as of now I’m putting it in the “cute” category.

Update: After a closer listen, I’ve decided that I’m putting this song in the “not so cute” category due to the ‘classy’ lyrics; “I’m gonna pop that pussy” that are repeated through out the ending of the track…

New Music: Paris Hilton Ft. Lil Wayne & Afrojack – Last Night

by: Taj | November 25th, 2012

Still playing catch up on the blogging since I was out of the country last week! Here is the highly anticipated (by me) Afrojack produced track “Last Night” that is was set to be released on Paris Hilton’s sophomore album that she’s currently working on. However, since Paris and ex-boyfriend Afrojack broke up the chorus has appeared on Pitbull’s new album with Havana Brown lending her vocals so who knows if the song will appear on Paris’ album as well. To be honest, as much as I was actually looking forward to a new music by my guilty pleasure artist, I’m a little let down by this and wouldn’t be that upset if it was left off of her new album. Paris‘ portion of the song is great but I could do without Lil Wayne as well as Afrojack’s obnoxious mosquito in heat synth riff.

Afrojack Confirms Working With Shakira…

by: Taj | April 4th, 2012

Looks like Shakira is really jumping on the dance music band wagon to try to ensure more mainstream success with her next effort than she has struggled to achieve with her last 2 albums. As I reported a few months back, she has already hit the studio with LMFAO and RedOne to record tracks for her next offering, and now you can add Afrojack to the list of collaborators. The highly sought after dj/producer has confirmed working with the exotic pop star and says “she’s really feeling” their work together. This is what he told Billboard;

“I’ve been in the studio now a couple times with Shakira… She’s really nice and that’s why we started working together. She has a unique voice and really loves the new dance thing. Like when a beat drops, she makes this like… face. She’s feeling it.”

He has not divulged anymore details about their collaboration, but I have a feeling it won’t be too far along before Shaki-ki reveales her new ‘sound’.

Paris Hilton Working With LMFAO For New Single…

by: Taj | January 21st, 2012

So I’m back… And just in time to post some exciting news (that you may have already heard) about Paris Hilton!! The pop heiress has announced this week that will be collaborating with the party rockin’ duo LMFAO on her new single which should see the light of day within a month or two. The ensure that the single will demolish, Paris recruited todays “it” dance producer Afrojack to handle the production on the track… As a matter of fact, Mrs. Hilton has so much faith in Afrojack that she apparently hired him to act as the executive-producer for her entire album!!

Since my current guilty pleasure, Selena Gomez, has recently announced that she will be taking a long break from music (booo) to focus on her acting career, this news about Paris‘ album couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I mean, I need someone embarrassingly enjoyable to secretly rock-out to in my headphones while I try to act hard at the gym!! Seriously though, if her club music is remotely up to par with the PHENOMENAL club remixes that she released for the singles off of her debut album, then we should be in for a treat!!!

Paris Hilton To Become A House DJ…

by: Taj | September 8th, 2011

Well I can’t say I didn’t see this coming. Celebrity socialite/avid weekend warrior Paris Hilton is supposedly training to become a superstar house music DJ. Paris has supposedly been traveling the world learning to learn the ropes from famed DJs Afrojack and Deadmau5 and has her sites on becoming the “Queen of house music” since “no woman has ever taken over in that arena”. I think this might be a better career choice for her than some of her other ventures that she’s embarked on in the past… cough, cough, actress, cough…

Paris Hilton Collaborating With Afrojack On New Album…

by: Taj | June 22nd, 2011

Paris Hilton talked to OK Magazine about working on her new album which she described as “pop and a little more house music, as well. Dance.” (I can almost imagine her saying that with her little baby voice.) Paris went on to explain that she is planning on working with some “really dope DJs” including Afrojack to achieve the pop-house vision she has for her new album. Afrojack is currently burning up the charts with his production for Pitbull featuring Ne-YoGive Me Everything” and has already found world-wide success with his Black Eyed Peas production “The Time (Dirty Bit)” as well as his dance hit “Take Over Control” featuring Eva Simons. Let’s wait to see if he can produce the same kind of magic with Paris!!

New Music: Pitbull Ft. Ne-Yo & Nayer – Give Me Everything (Tonight) (Produced By Afrojack)

by: Taj | February 25th, 2011

I posted this Afrojack produced track called “Give Me Everything (Tonight)” a few days ago which is only featured Ne-Yo on vocals but it seems now that the finalized version of the song has surfaced which also includes appearances by Pitbull & Nayer. This version is SO MUCH BETTER than the Ne-Yo only take on the song and actually sounds like it could be a big hit! Also turns out that this is not a Ne-Yo feature but a rumored track off of Pitbull’s upcoming album, Planet Pit. Take a listen…

by: Taj | February 23rd, 2011

Here’s an interesting little track to pop up by Ne-yo. It’s called “Give Me Everything” and was produced by Afrojack. Still not clear as to where this song came from exactly… Or weather it’s a future release or just an unreleased leak track for that matter but it’s really good and very different & unexpected for Ne-Yo. Check it out…
