Here’s a surprising yet exciting little collaboration for ya… Dance music legend, Barry Harris, has teamed up with one of my favorite up-and-comers, Cajjmere Wray, on a remix for Matisse’s latest single, “Better Than Her“! Could this be considered the beginning of Thunderpuss2010?! LOL! I’m sure Barry would probably cringe at the idea of that name, but I couldn’t resist! Check out this stellar remix production from the dynamic duo. I actually think their styles compliment each other very well!

Here’s a new one from Jennifer Lopez called “Story of my Life“. This new Stargate produced track is said to be from her forthcoming album titled, Love?. I really like this song, but these kind of tracks really highlight that fact that J. Lo doesn’t have the strongest singing voice. Still worth a good listen…

Toni Braxton has just wrapped up shooting not one, but two music video’s this week. Toni shot vid’s for her singles “Make My Heart” and “Hands Tied“… Both very good songs! I’m telling you, I’ve heard a good portion of her upcoming Pulse album and it is pretty AMAZING! One of the best R&B/pop albums that I’ve heard in a long, long time!

Rumor has it that Mariah Carey’s new remix album, Angels Advocate, may never see the light of day. Mariah was gearing up to release this new remix album that was based off of her recent Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel CD and had reworked a good number of her tracks to include cameo’s with the likes of Ne-Yo, Mary J Blige, T-Pain, Nicki Minaj, so on and so on… The project was originally suppose to be released in January but has been pushed back numerous times since then. The last word we got from the label was that the official release date would be March 30th. Now, fans are starting to worry that the album will never see the light of day since the new title has been taken off of the “new releases” listings on Target’s website as well as Amazon. This is especially alarming since the record was supposed to be a Target/Amazon exclusive! Many speculate that Mariah was releasing this remix album because of the poor performance of her Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel album… It was basically suppose to be the album’s “second chance”. A good number of the tracks from the Angels Advocate CD have leaked on the Internet and to be honest, I wasn’t highly impressed with any of them. I think shelving the album may not be a bad idea… Maybe it’s just time for Mariah to put this era behind her and begin work on new (and hopefully more interesting) material.

PS… Mariah’s label, Island Def Jam, has not confirmed or denied the shelving as of yet, so there may still be hope for a release.

Woke up this morning to find the official remixes to Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” in my mailbox. Wish I would had these for my set last night. The energy at my club was amazing and the crowd would have totally appreciated one of these! Check em out… I think Wideboys delivered the winner in this bunch, though I also like the other two mixes by Chew Fu and Low Sunday. I also read the Jonathan Peters also remixed this track but his mix was not delivered with the remix package. Hmmm… Wonder why?

Just in case you missed it last night on TV like I did, here’s the full episode of “The Marriage Ref” with Madonna on the celerity panel. Funny stuff! I love seeing her not taking everything so seriously and having fun with the show.

OK, this is my last Gaga post for the day. I really can’t take another one but I found this little tid-bit that’s too interesting to pass up on. So, I’ve come across a lot of articles online today that point out a scene in Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” video in which she plays two characters in the same shot. (A brunette and a blonde.) Turns out, however, that you’re not seeing double Gaga after all! The brunette Gaga is actually played by her 17 year old younger sister, Natali Germanotta. Awww… It’s a family affair… How cute! I find it very interesting that Natali comes off very “plain” in the vid compared to all the other characters… She’s probably the most realistic portrayal of a girl in the entire vid.

To continue the Lady Gaga fest here on my blog today, I’ve posted this weeks best and worst Gaga impersonations. The best Gaga inspired look comes from Nicki Minaj! Yeah, so the blonde bob wig and futuristic pink glasses might be a little too reminiscent of one (or a few) of Gaga’s incarnations, but Nicki actually pulls off this look very well! The rather large woman (pictured below) on the other hand does not pull of her Gagalicious look very well… But hey, A+ if her mission was to scare people!
