We can finally listen to Beyonce’s hotly anticipated new single “Grown Woman”  in full and studio quality today! The song has made its way onto the internet setting the Bey-Hive abuzz! After listening to the song in full, I am convinced more than every that I actually like the song. I’m not jumping out of my seat & dancing on the ceiling over it… It’s just not that exciting or engaging but I don’t absolutely hate it like “Bow Down” either.

I’m curious as to how this single will fair on the charts since I feel like we’ve been teased for months now thanks to the Pepsi commercial it was featured in, multiple online snippets we’ve been hearing and footage of a live performance from her current European tour that’s been passed around online. I almost feel like we’ve already been hearing the song (or parts of it at least) for so long now that it might have lost the wow-factor that most songs rely on to excite fans into purchasing the song on initial release.  Take a listen and tell me what you think of “Grown Woman“…

Justin Bieber had a little “diva” moment last-night at the Billboard Music Awards after he was showered with cheers and boos while accepting a Mile-Stone awards that which was voted on by stans fans.

The 19 year old diva has been stirring up quite a bit of bad publicity in the past few months due to his douche-bag behavior around the globe. After last-night’s public blow to his ego, he tried his hardest to reassert himself after the booing by proclaiming to the crowd that “he thinks he’s doing a pretty good job” and that it’s about his “craft” and that he is not “a gimmick” and “should be taken seriously”… The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

He then goes on to thank Jesus Christ and busts into this insincere removal of his sunglasses and stares into the heavens as if his bro Jesus is staring back at him, winking and giving him a thumbs up! The whole cringe-worthy moment looks just as choreographed as his performance from earlier that night.

But it wasn’t only the crowd that wasn’t having it with Justin at the Billboards Awards yesterday. It looks as if his female peers (and ex-girlfriend) weren’t exactly falling all over the “Beauty & The Beat” singer either. Check out this moment of awesomeness that took place backstage…

Yup, that’s Justin going in for a kiss on the lips with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez only to receive the infamous “I’m over you, here’s my cheek” head turn while Taylor Swift watches from the sidelines and sticks out her tongue in disgust at his failed attempt! (At least that’s what it looks like in my diabolical mind.) This is one of those times in life where I’m actually on team Taylor!

After all these years in the industry at the ripe young age of 54, the Queen of pop Madonna shows no sign of slowing down. Tonight she snagged 3 awards at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards and including “top touring artist,” “top dance artist,” and “top dance album (MDNA)”. And in true Madge fashion, the “Girl Gone Wild” trotted onto stage to accept her awards wearing only high-heels, a grader with and stay-up stockings, a fur trimmed jacket and a pair of sunglasses. (notice I didn’t mention any pants or skirt.) Oh Madonna… How I love thee! I’m really enjoying this new-found interest in taking big risks and  being playful with her fashion/image lately… It’s very reminiscent of her younger years that at one point I thought was lost and gone!

Well I guess that whole “Janet Jackson has converted to Muslim and is done with the music industry” rumor is officially squashed! In a new interview with Billboard, the pop-icon revealed that she is currently working on new material!! Here is what the “Feedback” songstress had to say;

Billboard: It’s been five years since your last album, and nearly four since your last single. Have you been working on new music, and when can we expect it if so?

Janet Jackson: I am working on a new project now. We are creating the concept and initial thoughts on the music. I am excited about the direction we are taking. I don’t want to rush it… I don’t want to put a time constraint on the creative process.

This is fantastic news for fans such as myself! I just hope that audiences take to Janet a bit warmer than they have with her past few efforts. “Feedback” for example was an amazing comeback single but ended up only being a moderate hit for J.J.. But at the end of the day, even if she doesn’t spawn a massive hit… I’m sure her longtime fan-base will be happy to have her back in the spotlight.

Finally we get to see our first official glimps of Madonna’s MDNA tour DVD which will be aired on Epix later next month! Today. Entertainment Tonight previewed a little over a minute of M’s “Give Me All Your Luvin’” performance which is lifted straight from the DVD. I think it goes without saying that I am uber-excited for this release! Check it out…

Today Jennifer Lopez has dropped the official music video for her latest single “Live It Up“! Pretty smart (and calculated) timing , considering J Lo just performed the track last-night on American Idol. Even though I’m not a fan of the song (which sounds like a Nicki Minaj reject to me) I do find myself enjoying the fun music video a lot. Check it out…

All hail the king! Michael Jackson is the latest artist to get the JNX remix video treatment! Michael’s updated version of “Remember The Time” remixed by Dez Rok has been given a visual thanks to JNX! This has always been one of my all-time favorite Michael Jackson videos, so I’m happy to have this fun new version to play in the club!

Britney Spears has just dropped a new Dr. Luke produced track titled “Ooh La La” for the Smurfs 2 soundtrack. Being that the song was intended for a children’s movie, I really didn’t set my expectations too high and after hearing it… I’m glad I didn’t! It’s a little too over-the-top cheesy for my liking and the chorus sounds awfully similar to Madonna’s “Superstar“. (Which I wasn’t a huge fan of either.) Still, I’m sure the Britney stans will be smacking their lips on this piece of bubble-gum pop! Check it out and tell me if you’re feeling it in the comments section….

Tonight American Idol saw a star-studded finale full of massive celebrity performances! Everyone from this year’s mega-star judge Mariah Carey, to past Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson, to last year’s judge Jennifer Lopez lit up the stage… Oh and Candice Glover won. (Which I’m happy about though I was really rooting for Angie Miller or Amber Holcomb) But her, Candice was just as amazing and I’m glad she beat Kree!

(Sorry all you Kree fans but I just don’t want another country/rock Idol)

One of my all-time favorite pop-divas is celebrating a birthday! Janet Jackson turns 47 today and I want to wish her a very happy birthday here on the blog. I wish I had a more recent music video to post of the pop-icon but if rumors are true we may never get one again… Supposedly Janet has retired from the music industry after secretly marrying her billionare husband and converting to Muslim. I hope this isn’t completely true but to be honest, Janet’s music has been grossly under-appreciated by audiences ever since her infamous Super Bowl “nipple-gate” scandal with Justin Timberlake. Do we really blame her if she didn’t want to put herself out there anymore? Still, the selfish side of me wants to see/hear more of J.J. in the near future which I think will happen. I really can’t imagine “Mizz Jackson if you’re nasty” completely turning her back on music…

The first of the official remixes for Selena Gomez’ new single “Come & Get it” has made its way online this week! Cahill did the honors for Mrs. Gomez‘ and turned the mid-tempo, Bollywood inspired pop ditty into a shuffle-step dancefloor friendly dance mix. While this mix probably won’t make it into my sets due to its (not quite fast enough) tempo, it’s definitely a fun take on the song and will be in heavy rotation in my iPod! Now we can listen to the new Jump Smokers remix of “Come & Get It“! This one is very different for the Jump Smokers… Rather than going for their regular 4-on-the-floor sound, the Chicago based producers went for a trap-house sound on this one! Check out the world premiere of Mariah Carey’s new music video for her hot Miguel assisted new single “#Beautiful“! I’m very pleased with this new era of Mariah so far… If we’re not counting “Triumphant” that is. Both the new song & the accompanying music vide are AMAZING. Very reminiscent of her Dreamlover/Daydream era which is my all-time favorite!

Jennifer Lopez is back with yet another Pitbull assisted first single called “#LIVEITUP“. At first listen, I’m not taking to this one as much as I did “On The Floor” & “Dance Again“. Parts of it I like, but the problem is that the song is all over the place. Besides the fact that I’m not a Pitbull fan and obviously I don’t like his part of the song, the track as a whole sounds like she tried take a couple of different ideas for two or three different songs and mash them all together into one big hot mess. Not to mention that the chorus is a bit cheezy! And what’s up with all these #hashtag #songtitles lately? This trend #needs #to #stop #!!!! Are you feeling the new J Lo? COMMENT HERE…
