Hey Sound Off readers… So I have been nominated for an “Outstanding DJ” award here in San Diego for an annual community awards ceremony called the Nicky Awards! If you’ve ever heard me spin and liked what you’ve heard… Or maybe if you are a fan of the music I post on my blog… Or even if you just wanna support me just because… Please feel free to visit the voting link and vote for me (Dj Taj) in category #14! (I don’t think you are required to vote for every category so if your not from SD, you can skip the rest.) Also, if you feel like spending a little more time on the ballad, feel free to vote for Urban Mo’s in a few of the category… It’s the club I work for and the company that hosts my blog!!! Thanks for your support! T.
Lesbian super-star Justin Bieber was almost trampled by a mob of crazed 13 year old girls this week in Arizona when his attempt to flee on a Segway after being noticed failed miserably! First of all… A Segway?!! Really?!!! How hard could it be to out-run 13 year old girls, Justin? Especially considering the fact that you’re a 16 year old lesbian… You should be very athletically inclined! Check out the stupidity…
Oh my sear friends… Forgive me for neglecting you guys for a whole day and a half!! I have been in the midst of a move from HELL!!!!! If you are an avid reader of the blog then you know that it was only recently (9 months ago) that I moved before this time, so believe me I am not happy about picking up and relocating again. This new place I like a lot so I think I will be here for a while. (Cross your fingers for me). Anyhow, I am still in the process of unpacking and organizing but that hard part is over so I PROMISE YOU that I will be back to maintaining the blog by Monday. Till then, I will do my BETS to post as much as I can over the next fews days… It may not be a lot but I won’t be nothing either. Thanks for your patience and understanding. XOXOXOX, Taj.
Lindsay Lohan seems to have a lot of fans in jail! According to eye witnesses, Lindsay was given a very warm welcome when she entered into the Century Regional Detention Facility in California to serve her 90 day jail sentence for breaching her parole. A couple of prisoners who were being released at the time that Lindsay was being admitted told Britain’s Daily Mail that Lindsay was welcomed with open arms by the other inmates….
“Lindsay was crying when she came in. She was handcuffed but seemed calm. We all started saying ‘God bless you Lindsay’ and saying ‘Hi’ to her and then she smiled at us.”
“We all cheered when we saw her and said we loved her.”
I seriously doubt she’ll be in there longer than 2 weeks but I’m glad that she had the support of her fellow inmates to get her through this rough time. Hopefully she learns her lesson from this punishment and gets her shit together to make a comeback when she’s released! I think I need to dust off my Mean Girls DVD in honor of Lindsay’s big in the slammer!!
Hey guys… Just wanted to take the opportunity to share a little personal career highlight with you guys. Last night I had the honor of opening for Tony Moran here in San Deigo for the official Pride closing party. It was an amazing night and the energy was off the charts. Tony Moran was an absolute SWEET HEART! I also had Casey Alva and Wayne G pay me a visit in the booth… Again both such nice guys! When I was done, I stuck around and listened to Tony (who spun an incredible set) then headed downstairs where Yinan was spinning. WOW! I’ve never heard Yinan spin before and I have to say that he was ON FIRE! Also had the pleasure of meeting him and chatted for a little while… He’s such a cool lil’ cat! Both Tony and Yinan where very inspiring… Not only with their immense talent but also with their down to earth and humble disposition. I’ve met a lot of DJ’s through out my career… Some of which not as famous that were not as pleasant to be around. It was refreshing to find these guys that I have idolized to be such good natured guys.
Anyway, just wanted to share my experience with all of you and also explain the lack of posts over the weekend. Big shout out to Bill Hardt of Bill Hardt Presents for the opportunity. I am so very grateful! OK… I’m done being star struck now… LOL!
You can pretty much sum up the last few days that I’ve been having from this picture taken of me at a coffee shop at midnight because I have no Internet connection at my house right now. (Hence, lack of posts the last few days) I bought a new router that has been such a nightmare to set up… Isn’t it suppose to be easy?!!! Anywho, I wanted to apologize for only 2 posts yesterday and promise that as soon as I resolve this issue the postings will be back in full force!

Alright guys and gals… We recently transfered to a new server and since then A LOT of the old music postings that I’ve made aren’t working because the powers the be simply haven’t finished transferring all the music files over. It’s been a few days but I’m getting a little frustrated so I’m taking matters into my own hands and will be working non-stop to re-upload EVERYTHING!!! Nothing will be gone, all the old posts will work again and very soon. I think I should be able to finish this by tonight… Tomorrow at the latest. Bare with me and THANK YOU for your patience and continued support!! T
It’s LOST. My favorite television show of all-time came to an end lastnight and I am still in mourning today. The finale has many LOST fans divided but this ‘Lostie’ thought it was perfect ending to a “perfectly flawed” show. (As my bff Doug put it.) Without giving anything away to any LOST fan or any future fans that may pick up the DVD’s someday and start watching… The ending made me realize that I really didn’t care so much about the island and “what it was” as much as I cared about the characters that I’ve grown to love so deeply and what happened to them…
Aloha LOST… Thank you for the amazing ride over the years which came to a beautiful and meaningful end lastnight.
