New Music: Almighty Glee Club – Don’t Stop Believin’ (Almighty Remix)

by: Taj | September 2nd, 2010

Almighty records have tackled yet another pop phenomenon to do a high-energy dance cover of… This time around they have assembled an ‘Almighty Glee Club‘ to do their take of the Fox TV series Glee’s rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin’“. So basically it’s a cover of a cover…

They did a pretty good job finding a male vocalist with a mediocre voice that can still carry a tune to sing the part of Finn! Sounds almost just like him!

Remix Treatment: Tiësto feat. Nelly Furtado – Who Wants To Be Alone (Philip D Remix)

by: Taj | September 2nd, 2010

Tiësto’s Kaleidoscope album has been completely reworked and was released as a remix album this week in the US and Canada. There are a lot of gems on the remix LP, but my favorite is the Philip D progressive house remix of the hugely underrated single “Who Wants To Be Alone” featuring Nelly Furtado… It’s much better than any of the previously released remixes for the song. I absolutely LOVE this track and can’t understand for the life of me why it wasn’t a massive hit here in the US considering the fact that dance music seems to be dominating to radio airwaves right now. Who knows… Maybe this new remix treatment might bring it out into the mainstream??? (Doubtful)

New Music: Shakira Ft. Dizzee Rascal – Loca (English Version)

by: Taj | September 1st, 2010

Shakira is back with a brand new single called “Loca” that will be featured on her new album titled Sale El Sol! She’s definitely back to her Latina roots on this one… I feel like I’ve been thrust back in time to the year 2000 when the Latin invasion was in full force! Honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about this new single just yet but I like it better than “She Wolf” at first listen.  Shakira has recorded both a Spanish and English version of the song. I posted the English version for you guys… Sorry about the sound quality but it was a radio rip. I thought her new album was suppose to be a dance album? What do you guys think about this new track?

Lady Gaga Debuts “Living On The Radio” On Monster Ball Tour…

by: Taj | August 31st, 2010

Lady Gaga debuted a new song called “Living On The Radio” lastnight on her never ending Monster Ball Tour. According to Lady G herself, the song will NOT appear on her new album due out next year. It’s kind of sad because that the music of hers that I actually like she doesn’t release. “Speechless,” for example, she has said would never be released as a single because it was not a dance record. She said the same of a new song called “You and I” (a soulful rock ballad) that she debuted on The Today Show Summer Concert Series earlier this summer! I’m looking forward to the day that Gaga drops the facade and stops trying to obtain radio hits and #1 dance singles and actually shows her true colors as an artist… I think I will enjoy her a lot more (and won’t put her on blast as much) when that day comes.

Sneak Peak: Madonna – Sorry (Broken) (Paul Oakenfold Produced Clip)

by: Taj | August 30th, 2010

Before you get your hopes up… This clip is VERY low quality. Almost not worth posting at all but you can kinda make out the song… kinda. So this was one of the track that Oakenfold produced for Madonna for her greatest hits album, Celebration. Ultimately, the only track the two collaborated on that ended up making the final track-listing was “Celebration“. Well some lucky son of a bitch was fortunate enough to be in the same room with a copy of “Sorry (Broken)” and recorded a clip while it was playing… From what I can make out, it sounds like a great song! Crossing my fingers that baby Jesus grants my wish and makes a HQ copy of this track leak sometime in the very near future. Baby Jesus does grant wishes, doesn’t he???
