Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins has been all over the media these days singing the praises of Jessica Simpson lately. Last week, he proclaimed that if people knew Jess the way he knew her, they would love her like he does. Who know Billy Corgan had all those warm fuzzies inside of him? Today, Billy is taking his love for Jessica to a whole new level and is standing up for her by slamming John Mayer for the recent low-brow sexual remarks that he made about Jessica to Playboy magazine. This was Billy’s thoughts on the whole situation;
“He’s trying to destroy his career. Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction, some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where he’s trying to blow it up. Certainly a talented guy, but empathetically, standing on the sidelines, it’s hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground speaking as somebody who’s done it…I think for any person who has celebrity to sort of drop rocks at somebody else’s feet like that, there’s things you should really just keep your mouths shut on. There’s things that should just be left alone.”
WOW! Very well said and surprisingly not belligerent at all! Who would have ever thunk that Billy Corgan would be Jess’ night in shining armor? It’s adorable actually…
We all knew that Chris Brown was a douche bag, but I’m actually surprised with the new all-time low that he’s resorting too… Begging! Yes, Mr. Brown is still feeling the backlash of brutally beating his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, and is literally begging his fans (which are self loathing girls & fellow woman beaters) to help get him back on the radio! The fading star took to SayNow.com to leave a his fans a desperate plea for their help…
“I ain’t never really did this but right now I need all of my fans help. A lot of radio stations aren’t playing my records. They are not being that supportive and I wouldn’t expect them to. It’s on the fans and what you guys do in your power to bring me back. That’s all I need is you guys and nothing else will do that except for the fans…”

Madonna’s douche bag brother, Christopher Ciccone, has started his online campaign to try to fill Simon Cowell’s seat after he leaves American Idol. Christopher, who has written a nasty tell-all book about his sister which strained their relationship, has launched a Facebook page called; “Christopher Ciccone for American Idol!”
The sad part in all this is that the page only has 604 members. Here is Christopher’sdesperate plea “description” on the page;
“Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol, and who better to replace him than Christopher Ciccone? With 25 years in the music business, Christopher knows all too well what it takes to be a Pop Star, and with his infamous “Ciccone Tongue” he won’t be afraid to speak his mind!”
What is it with all these douche bags that think they can take Simon’s place? First Perez Hilton now this moron! Simon Cowell might be harsh but he’s not a tasteless prick… He’s a class act. Give it up Christopher… Besides, I think you blackballed yourself from the industry when you wrote that tell-all book about your sister.
A Texas federal appellate court has ruled the 22-year-old must pay a total of $27,750 for 37 copyrighted songs she downloaded through Kazaa when she was a teenager. Whitney Harper of San Antonio says she downloaded from online file-sharing networks because they advertised that they are “100% free” & “legal” which she had “no reason to doubt”.
The ruling came from a panel of three-judges of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals who overturned a lower ruling that originally awarded five record companies $200 for each of the songs. After Harper tried to appeal and lost, the appellate court upped the fine to $750 per song. Harper’s lawyer says that the grand total with interest could exceed $40,000 and will likely force her to file for bankruptcy.
This one I can kind of believe. Britney Spears’ current boyfriend/manager, Jason Trawick, apparently isn’t a fan of his girl’s music! Sources are reporting that while attending Paris Hilton’s birthday bash over the weekend, Jason was overheard saying, “OMG I hate this song,” when the DJ played Brit-Brit’s dance hit, “Toxic“. His friends laughed at his remark and continued with their conversation but he soon after interrupted once again and proclaimed; “I’m sorry, I can’t hear what you’re saying over her voice“. In Britney’s defense… “Toxic” is actually one of her better songs! I can also totally understand how he could be a little “over” the song when he’s heard her perform it a million times on tour. Still Jason, you might want to keep these thoughts to yourself in the future… I mean, you’re her manager for God’s sakes!

The mother of Jasmina Anema (The 6-year-old girl who died of leukemia in January) is speaking out in disappointment against Rihanna who developed a close friendship with the sick little girl but has not sent her condolences to her family since her passing. This weekend, someone posted the following message on the ONEFORJASMINA Twitter account which is run by Mrs. Anema;
“It has been a month since Jasmina’s passing. Still not even a card or text message from Rihanna. Did she use my child for a publicity stunt?”
The post has since been deleted and Thea Anema has denied ever writing the message to People Magazine, but she did acknowledge her hurt and disappointed towards Rihanna for not reaching out after Jasmina’s death.
“Friends have helped me with all kinds of stuff and many know the passwords to my personal e-mail, the Caringbridge site and also Twitter. Although I did not Tweet this particular one, I do wish that Rihanna had responded to me on Jasmina’s passing. It would have meant the world to me.”
However, Anema does say that she is very grateful for everything that Rihanna did for Jasmina while she was still alive and that Jasmine “adorned her”.
I love Rihanna and hope she breaks her silence and does something special for Jasmina’s family. It’s never too late Ri-Ri…
After a string of rocky vocal performances in Australia, Whitney Houston has come under fire by disgruntled fans who think that she needs to hang up the towel if she doesn’t have the chops to perform as she use to. Today, her promoter down under (Andrew McManus) who originally defended the aging diva is now blaming Whitney’s refusal to stop smoking on her sub-par performances.
“Whitney smokes. God bless her, I can’t tell her not to. She will not take any substances. She just will not. It is what it is. She’s comfortable with the show she’s performing. She knows she’s not hitting every note like she used to. But it’s value for money, it’s Whitney Houston warts and all,”
McManus says that Whitney’s tobacco addiction is the reason that she has been out of breath on stage and having trouble hitting the notes that made her famous.
“I talked to her after the Sydney show. I told her I have her back, but she said, ‘If the good Lord wants me to be attacked and ridiculed that’s the road I have to go down.’ It’s an interesting approach. Here I am being aggressive in trying to protect her and she said, ‘I love you for it but let it go. I can only give my best, if that’s not good enough, so be it. I’m comfortable in my own skin.’”
Wow… You know, I think I find it more disappointed in knowing that Whitney continues to abuse & throw away what use to be a powerhouse of a voice by choosing to smoke. It’s simply taking for granted God’s gift. Such a shame and disappointment.
If you’re planning on having a big celebrity party anytime soon, you might not want to invite both Adam Lambert & Susan Boyle. Especially after the recent comments that Adam made about Susan’s album;
“I’m happy for her success [Susan Boyle], but that album is terrible. “Wild Horses” is the one that just made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!”
Is it just me or does anyone else that as a new artist, Adam should keep these kind of thoughts inside his head for while… Especially considering Susan has sold circles around him and his album. Just makes him sound like a bitter-Betty!
The back-lash over Sir Elton John’s most recent controversial comments have begun! Just to refresh your memory, Elton caused quite a stir when he told Parade magazine that he believes Jesus Christ was a “compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems.” This statement obviously did not sit right with Christian civil rights organizations.
President of the Catholic League, Bill Donohue, is outraged over the music legend’s remarks and has issued a scathing homophobic statement, calling Elton John a “sexual deviant.”
“Jesus was certainly compassionate, but to say he was ’super-intelligent’ is to compare the Son of God to a successful game-show contestant… More seriously, to call Jesus a homosexual is to label him a sexual deviant. But what else would we expect from a man who previously said, ‘From my point of view, I would ban religion completely.”
I find it funny how Donohue was also offended by Elton claiming that Jesus was “super-intelligent.” With as many followers that he has, I would hope that the Son of God would have an intellect and intelligence level higher than most.
The Christian Voice has also chimed in on Elton’s remarks and has dismissed his gay claim as “rubbish.”
“The Bible says Jesus was without sin and that rules out homosexuality. This is a desperate cry for attention.”
While I don’t agree with these religious freaks views on homosexuality… I actually do agree with the second statement about Elton trying to garner some attention.
