You can add “junior fashion designer” to Madonna’s extensive career resume… Her Madgesty has landed a gig designing a clothing line called Material Girl (of course)geared towards young women between the ages of 13 and 25. The line, which will include clothing shoes, jewelry & accessories is said to be inspired by her daughter Lourdess and will be available exclusively at Macy’s.
Someone from a music forum that I frequently pointed this one out. Madonna from the movie “Who’s That Girl” and Lady Gaga from her soon-to-be released “Telephone” video…
Just sayin’…

Sia is gearing up to release a new album called We Are Born and has revealed to Pop Justice that the album will include a cover of Madonna’s “Oh Father“. There are very few artists that I could see covering this song and doing it justice, but Sia could actually pull it off!
In honor of tonight’s Oscar ceremonies, I’m giving you guys a little “flashback moment” and posting Madonna’s performance of “Sooner or Later” on the 1991 Oscars. I think this was the first (and only) time the world saw a nervous Madonna performing for an audience of her peers. Despite the nerves, she did an amazing job!
This kinda caught me by surprise. For those of you who saw Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour, you might remember the amazing mashup of Meck’s club hit, “Feels Like Home, ” with Madge’s “Like a Prayer“. (That number was one of my personal favorites from the concert.) Looks like Meck really took to the mashup as well because he’s releasing his own version of the production with someone covering Madonna’s vocal. Not exactly the same without the actual Madonna but still a fun cover. Check out the newly released video for remix… (Sorry, no Madonna in the video either.)
PS… Here is the live MadonnaSticky & Sweet version for those of you that didn’t get a chance to see it…
Madonna’s douche bag brother, Christopher Ciccone, has started his online campaign to try to fill Simon Cowell’s seat after he leaves American Idol. Christopher, who has written a nasty tell-all book about his sister which strained their relationship, has launched a Facebook page called; “Christopher Ciccone for American Idol!”
The sad part in all this is that the page only has 604 members. Here is Christopher’sdesperate plea “description” on the page;
“Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol, and who better to replace him than Christopher Ciccone? With 25 years in the music business, Christopher knows all too well what it takes to be a Pop Star, and with his infamous “Ciccone Tongue” he won’t be afraid to speak his mind!”
What is it with all these douche bags that think they can take Simon’s place? First Perez Hilton now this moron! Simon Cowell might be harsh but he’s not a tasteless prick… He’s a class act. Give it up Christopher… Besides, I think you blackballed yourself from the industry when you wrote that tell-all book about your sister.
The VH1 Classic show called The Music Video Exposedrecently did a segment on Madonna’s “Burning Up” video where they spoke to clip’s director, Steve Barron. Steven revealed that an accident during the shoot almost took the then up-and-coming Madonna’s life. The incident happened while shooting the overhead scene of M laying in a boat in the middle of a lake. To get this shot, they were filming from above her using a “massive” crane. Apparently when they extended the crane’s arm to line up the shot perfectly, the wheels of the massive vehicle lifted off the ground and the whole thing started to tip over. Steven claims that if they had extended the crane’s arm even an inch or two further, it would have fallen on Madonna and “she definitely would have died”!!!
As I reported last week, Madonna is scheduled to appear on ‘The Marriage Ref,’ a new television show in which a celebrity panel weighs in on real life couple disputes. Check out this new promo spot which features Madonna’s guest appearance. She looks great and I’m glad to see her having so much fun with it rather than being too serious!
I might as well turn this into a DJ’s From Mars blog because I have been absolutely OBSESSED with their work since I’ve recently discovered them. Their latest production that I just can’t seem to get enough of is their take on Madonna’s latest single “Revolver” reworked with Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love“. ABSOLUTELY GENIUS! This is hands down the best remix of the song… If the label was smart, they would pick up this production and ship it out to DJ’s ASAP!!! Take a listen…

Oh Lord, I hope this rumor isn’t true. Word on the street is that Jesus Luz, Madonna’s current 23 year-old boy friend, has just landed a two-album record deal with Warner Bro’s Records. – Madonna’s old label of over 25 years. YIKES!!! She’s apparently pulling all of her connections to help Jesus in his new single career and has even recruited DJ/producer Victor Calderone to remix Jesus‘ tracks so to create a buzz in the club-world. (This part of the rumor makes me believe that it isn’t true since it’s been many, many years that Madonna has worked with Victor, herself.) According to The Sun, Jesus‘ debut single will be called “We Came From Light” and will be released sometime in May. I swear to God, if this rumor materializes… I’m ditching the bitch and becoming a Lady Gaga fan.
