Check out Adam Lambert’s live, acoustic performance of latest single “Whataya Want From Me” on Nova. I’ve been hearing this one on the radio lately and gotta admit that I’m a big fan of this song! (Probably because Pink wrote it) WAY better than his first single “For Your Entertainment“.
Rumor has it that Paula Abdul turned down a $2 million dollar deal to replace Samantha Harris as co-host on ABC’s hit show, Dancing With The Stars. Sources close to Paula are saying that though she found the offer “flattering,” she ”doesn’t need the money and she didn’t want to leap into another reality TV contest right away“. Supposedly, Paula was originally offered $1 million to appear on the show as a contestant but when Samantha announced she was leaving the show, producers really had their sights set on Paula to replace her. I’m glad Paula turned them down… I’m actually hoping that the real reason Paula danced away from ABC’s offer is because she has already landed a gig on X-Factor with Simon Cowell. Cross your fingers…
Madonna’s douche bag brother, Christopher Ciccone, has started his online campaign to try to fill Simon Cowell’s seat after he leaves American Idol. Christopher, who has written a nasty tell-all book about his sister which strained their relationship, has launched a Facebook page called; “Christopher Ciccone for American Idol!”
The sad part in all this is that the page only has 604 members. Here is Christopher’s desperate plea “description” on the page;
“Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol, and who better to replace him than Christopher Ciccone? With 25 years in the music business, Christopher knows all too well what it takes to be a Pop Star, and with his infamous “Ciccone Tongue” he won’t be afraid to speak his mind!”
What is it with all these douche bags that think they can take Simon’s place? First Perez Hilton now this moron! Simon Cowell might be harsh but he’s not a tasteless prick… He’s a class act. Give it up Christopher… Besides, I think you blackballed yourself from the industry when you wrote that tell-all book about your sister.
Rock group We Are The Fallen (The guys from former band Evanescence with American Idol’s Carley Smithson as lead vocalist) have released a new song called “Without You” to treat fans this week! I’m feelin’ it! Love Carely’s vocals though I wish I would stop comparing her to Evanescence front woman Amy Lee in my head. Check it out…

First I want to start by saying that American Idol has totally SUCKED so far this year! I’m gonna give it more of a chance before I change my DVR settings to stop recording it but the contestants this year are just not that good. For example… The contest pictured above, Tim Urban, should have totally went home Thursday night. He absolutely butcher OneRepublic’s hit song “Apologize” and gave the worst vocal performance out off all the males, hands down. As you can see… Tim is blessed with some other “ASSets” that will probably get him the teenage girl/gay guy vote and will keep him in the competition for a while longer. Maybe if he performs shirtless he could even win the whole thing!
Since Lady Gaga and her unique sense of style hit the scene a few years ago, her “little monsters” from around the globe have flooded the Internet with pictures of their own (poorly executed) Gaga transformations. Here is my top 10 list of the absolute worst Lady Gaga impersonations to hit the world-wide web… Let’s start with #10 pictured above.
#10 – Balloon-Boy (with side-kick) Gaga: Balloon-Boy Gaga’s attempt at recreating Lady G’s bubble costume really deflated and fell flat. And what’s with Side-Kick Gaga’s lack of effort? A wig and a wind-breaker does not a Gaga make.
If you’re planning on having a big celebrity party anytime soon, you might not want to invite both Adam Lambert & Susan Boyle. Especially after the recent comments that Adam made about Susan’s album;
“I’m happy for her success [Susan Boyle], but that album is terrible. “Wild Horses” is the one that just made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!”
Is it just me or does anyone else that as a new artist, Adam should keep these kind of thoughts inside his head for while… Especially considering Susan has sold circles around him and his album. Just makes him sound like a bitter-Betty!
Season two American Idol contestant, Kimberly Caldwell, is just now getting around to releasing her debut album, Without Regret. Check out the just released music video for her first single “Mess of You.” Hey… Better late than never, right?
More American Idol scandal has hit the web! This time it’s surrounding one of my favorite contestants, Todrick Hall, who is being accused of masterminding a scheme that has put a lot of people out of money before he auditioned for the show. The aspiring musician is being accused of fooling families into paying a fee for a play that was never actually in production.
The controversy started back in June of 2009 when parents brought their children to the Tennessee Performing Arts Center to audition for a remake of The Wizard of Oz that Hall claimed he was writing and directing. The show’s website also claimed that former American Idol star, Diana DeGarmo, had a featured role in the production. All the parents that showed up where asked to fork out a $75 fee for costumes. Soon after, families were informed that the play was canceled and that their money would NOT be refunded.
Todrick told outraged families that the producers simply ran out of funds but after further investigation, some people discovered that no local theater had been reserved for the event and that DeGarmo had no knowledge of the production. The show’s producers told investigators that they didn’t refund the money because they were planning on rolling it over into another production that they were working on. Sounds shady!! But there’s always two sides to these kinds of stories. I’ll reserve judgment until I hear his side of the story. Who knows if he ever handled the finances in the first place…
Check out Todrick’s amazing audition that landed him a spot in AI’s Top 24! He impressed the judges by singing an original song that he wrote about them and the show!
This is amazing! Ellen DeGeneres just might turn out being the best American Idol judge ever! After contestant Angela Martin was eliminated from American Idol’s Hollywood week last Wednesday, hearts broke all over the country. This was Angela’s 3rd (and final) year auditioning for the show and every year the poor girl has been cursed with some major bad luck during the process including losing both of her parents! (Read the full tragic story here) Everyone, including myself, was rooting for Angela to make it through this year so she could finally get a break in her bleak life, but when she was cast off the show… A lot of viewers were left miffed and heartbroken for the this amazing girl.
When the judges gave her the bad news on the show Weds night, I could see the compassion in Ellen’s eyes and just knew that she would not let this girl simply fall through the cracks. Yesterday, Ellen asked Angela to be a guest on her talk show and gave the aspiring singer some very exciting news…. Watch the clip above!
