Hate to say “I told you so” but I’m gonna have to say it… By now many of you have probably already heard about and have seen the TMZ behind the scenes footage of Nicki Minaj letting Mariah Carey HAVE IT at a scheduled American Idol audition taping today in Charlotte, NC. And I’m not talking about some made-for-TV scripted show-down but some ghetto “I’m gonna know you out” style shenanigans that ultimately shut down the auditions prematurely.
In case you haven’t seen it yet, here is the footage followed by the transcript of some of what was said.
Nicki: “You think I’m playin’, get your big ass on up and go. Bitch you can go… Bitch you can go… Bitch you can go! Say one more thing to me!
…. A bunch more of Nicki mouthing off that we can’t quite make out…
Nicki: “And if you’ve got a fucking problem, handle it. I told them I’m not fucking putting up with your fucking highness over there.”
Mariah “Oh Why, why, why do I have a three year old sitting around me?”
Nicki: “I’m not sitting here for 20 million having her look down here, reprimanding everyday. No.”
Mariah: “I can’t see my kids because you decided to act like a little crazy bitchand go all around the stage.”
Nicki: “Go see them now, go. You’re boring as hell.”
I’m sorry but Nicki Minaj has no business being on this show. She’s too new, she’s too young, she’s hasn’t proven herself yet as a pop star or singer with longevity and to put it to you nicely… This bitch is just GHETTO!! If this was a bad wig competition, she could judge it but please get Nicki Minaj off of American Idol and replace her with a TRUE diva vocalist such as Beyonce, Toni Braxton, Kelly Rowland… Or hell, bring back Kara DioGuardi or Paula Abdul for that matter! Anyone else with a shred of talent and the maturity level above a ratchet ass high-school teenager! Then again, Mariah is know in the industry as being a raging diva so I’m sure she did or said something to instigate this train-wreck behind the scenes performance! I think it’s safe to say these two will not last an entire season together! And as much as some might think this level of drama will bring ratings to the show… I predict it will be one of the nails in the American Idol coffin.
