Madonna & Kylie Minogue Share Words Over Madonna’s Return To Studio…

I’m a few days late on this one but apparently the one and only Madonna has officially started working in the recording studio on her new album! Her manager Guy Oseary tweeted this on Monday July 4th…

“It’s official.. Madonna’s 1st day in the recording studio for the new album… Very exciting.. Happy 4th of July…”

Shortly after Oseary tweeted the exciting news, fellow pop icon Kylie Minogue retweeted the post with her own caption that read “Yaayyyy!!!“. The love-fest didn’t end there… Madonna herself then responded to Kylie on Twitter through Oseary’s account writing, “Thanks for the love – M.” I’m just as excited as Kylie for Madonna’s next album!! And I can’t wait to put all the annoying little monsters on blast when they try to accuse Madonna of ripping off of Gaga and pit the two against each other. You know it’s going to happen… Lol.

I soooooooo can’t wait for a new album! I buy multiple copies of her albums and give them away as gifts to my friends. The most i bought was 17 copies of Confessions. Madonna eats my money but its okay. I hope this new album is stellar! woot woooot

I don’t think anyone will say Madonna is copying Gaga. It will be interesting to see if Madonna can still make music of any cultural significance however. As I recall her last efforts were…… lackluster…………

  • MasonMonster Says:

Z I agree, she is irrelevant to the music market that Gaga is in now.. she hasnt had a huge hit in the American music market in a longgggggg time

  • DJ DigiMark Says:

    Madonna + Kylie = Duet?? :)

  • Taj Says:

Hard Candy was anything but lack-luster. Might not sold a lot in the US but she hasn’t really sold much in the US in ages… Clear Channel radio turned their backs on her since American Life album. Still I think she does amazing pop music.

Umm some Little Monsters ALREADY say Madonna stole from Gaga. Go to youtube. It is completely insane. You can watch videos of Madonna’s that are DECADES old and delusional little monsters will comment on how she’s ripping off their Mother Monster.

    I’m not even joking…

  • Ben (The Original) Says:

    btw I agree, I enjoyed Hard Candy….

Confessions was just epic by comparison though :P

It will be interesting what her style of music will be for her upcoming album! I’ve loved her music since the beginning and as much as people want to compare Gaga/Madonna to each other there is no way that Gaga even comes close…..Gaga will have to wait til she’s 50 to deem those comparisons worthy….I’m a huge fan of both and think that they’re both amazingly talented artists who will have haters no matter what.

I loved Confessions – ‘Get Together’ is one of my favourite tracks of hers. I love that breezy, atmospheric sound. Any suggestions of other artists/compliations with that style?? Would have loved for her to do a proper music video though. Very excited to hear her new stuff.

I’m a Gaga fan, but Madonnna has always been ‘authentic’ whether she’s hit or missed with her style (music and fashion) choices – I sensed she was just unabashedly doing her own thing. Gaga has the potential to be great, she just needs to calm her shit down and not try too hard.

If Gaga releases ‘Marry the Night’ as a single – I love the momentum of the bridge and the lyric ‘New York is not just a tan that you never lose’ has so much more emotional resonance than some of her pseudo-art student triple entendre babbling.

I hope the video is joyous and literal rather than bogged down in symbolism. Hopefully she surprises us – but I’m being optimistic! LOL

  • Taj Says:

Yeah, I was gonna say… If you really think the little monsters would be above claiming Madonna steals from her… just hit up Youtube. They can be very very delusional!

I honestly loved Confessions but something about Hard Candy had a new and fresh sound to it that I had yet to hear from M in a long time. Songs like “Heartbeat” “4 Minutes” and “Devil Wouldn’t Recognize…” were all current and new for her. Then there were other tracks such as “Beat Goes On” “She’s Not Me” and “Give It To Me” that were current yet reminded me of fun old school Madonna that I had always loved and missed.

I love Madonna, I think Madonna is one of the biggest artists in the music industry HOWEVER I believe her music isnt connecting with the younger pop audience like a lot of the newer artists.. everyone knows her, its not like the kids have no idea WHO she is.. but honestly she is much much only than her pop music counterparts..

I dont think anything is puts out is going to be mainstream pop radio RIGHT now..

Todays diva’s owe a lot of their success to the path Madonna and many other female artists have done for them.. but she wont chart well in the USA, and her singles honestly havent done well worldwide in comparison to other artists in her lane..

so we will see.. but I say its going to be overlooked much like her other recent efforts

also since we were on the topic (and because I can’t help myself)….

one time I read a delusional comment whining about how Britney stole her Toxic look from Gaga’s Lovegame video.

I damn near had a stroke and died. I can’t with this ish.

GaGa’s fans are nothing but zitty faced kids with hormonal issues and bags of angst…. Why on earth would a talent like Madonna aim her genuine art at such a throw away part of society? She has been there and done that in the 80′s and 90′s!!!!!! Madonna’s millions have grown up with her and moved on, Madonna’s music is on a different plain to either GaGa’s or Kylies and dont get me started on car crash Britney! Madonna does not NEED to appeal to such an angry part of society, she did that already. Madonna has just moved on, ok she is collecting new generations all the time but in reality, Madonna’s music and art is lost on the younger generation, they just dont get her now. She is far to deep for kids to understand. Saying that Madonna was bringing out records from day 1 which appealed to the masses for equal love, self expression, anti-homophobia and equal rights. Not banging on about some stupid poker face or telephone! Madonna is on another level.
