Thanks evanoah sea

I was gonna write this yesterday. BUT… And this is a pretty big but. I was sadly hung over in an incapacitory way. So much so I slept most of the day and through the night. It just goes to show I am not 25 anymore. It fact when you cross the 40 year finish line things REALLY don’t work like they do when you are 25. Most importantly and obviously a lesson I have not yet learned; If you drink all day and accept generous amounts of booze from friends and well wishers, you will pay the price in days of recovery for every decade of your life past 20.

Now that this is out of the way. On with the Shoo.

OMG, OMG, OMG Did you see Candis Friday? I did . I almost did not. But ole Nikki Dreams put on her game face and headed to the show with her roomy J.A.M.I.E. NOVA. This pair of hotties stroll in a little before 8:00, say high to everyone grab a drink and …

Like a breeze in a black trench coat she floats by.
“Hi Candis”.
She turns and with that pearly white smile says “Hi, how are you?”
Candis has her Auntie with her and she is showing her and I think her cousin too off to their seating. Her entourage of really buff, hot guy friends are soon seated at a table right beside us. We talked with them last time Candis came to visit. They are really cool and wonderful guys that really, REALLY care about Candis.

We scurry to find our table too. Right up front. Woot! Princess seating. I am oddly beginning to get a little more excited than usual. You see Nichole is not one to lose her composure. Her fine southern upbringing always guiding her in all social situations. Well screw Nichole, Nikki Dreams is in the house and she is already working hard on the makings of that next day’s hangover. I am not one to be starstruck and to be honest I really did not expect to go down that road this night.

The show will be starting soon and I have some time to mingle just a tad. At some point I scurry up to see DJ Marco. I say hello and welcome him back to SD. I like his mixes. Tunes that keep your booty shakin and your head swinging. We snap a picture and off she runs, Nikki Dreams on a mission. We gather around our table and Nikki is feeling more excited. Remember she almost did not go to the show, Nichole was feeling a little down.The announcement is made and we prepare for the show with glee.

Then like a bat to  the back of the head… heeeeeeerrres Candis. The first thing Nikki sees is that dress. Oh shit I love that dress. Sorry Candis I think it would look better on ME. LOL. Not really but I was completely caught by that dress. Let’s not forget who is wearing that dress. Right. And I have to admit both Nikki and Nichole were enjoying the first few seconds of seeing Candis “pop” out in that dress. She has got an AMAZING body. Gawd I want that body, I want that dress. Damn DJ Marco is gonna be a problem.

I am laughing at myself knowing what I am thinking. Get a grip on yourself woman. Nichole begins to realize that proverbial bat to the head was real. Nikki has taken over, done lost her marbles and gone all googly eyes over Candis. How silly is that!?!  But it really happened. Not only did Nikki take over the mind and kick out all the composure Nichole had set in place, she took over the body too. Woot PARTY!

Like a paparazzi fiend with a digital camera, Nikki starts snapping pics left and right. How embarrassing. Right. Fuck it! I’m getting some good pics for a change. I want to use them on my blog. And I gotta have that dress. And can you believe those legs? OMG Marco my boy you must  be so proud.

Flashes popping, fingers tumbling to adjust settings, glass to mouth, M&Ms OMG who the heck brought the green M&M’s. Well they are mine now. And it was good. Nikki figures out how to use the video on her new camera. Hot damn. We get all kinds of pictures we can pull from the video. And even better Nichole won’t be so damn embarrassed at Nikki’s flash happy fingers. Well that is until Candis sees her with that camera held up high and states;

“Oh, photo opp.”
Oh shit she is looking right at me waiting for Ms. Camera-Happy to take a picture.
Well now this is interesting. Candis poses and Nikki tries to pull off the graceful.
“It’s video”

This was an awkward moment indeed. But being the consummate professional and much less buzzed than I entertainer, Candis moves on. Thanks for the pose and the vid. LOL. Gawd don’t do that again woman, I am thinking to myself. I am still in awe over that dress. And at some point Nikki puts the god damn camera down. Whew. Nichole is coming back to us now. I will post the videos after I edit them.

The show is great. Candis is such a believable person and exudes a certain warmth and charisma. You cannot help but enjoy the show. And no Candis my dear you did just fine. You did not repeat a song-n-dance number. Well at least Nikki does not think so anyway.I know everyone was enjoying themselves. And Yes Candis even seems to have a great time performing. She is a natural. I remember her from Wigstock. “Dayemn”. That is all I can say about her now. She is a beautiful WOMAN and I do aspire to be like her in that way.

The only hitch in the show other than Nikki’s annoying crush on Candis and her photog-a-phile ways was the guy who rushed up to Candis on stage to give her a tip.Well Neither Jamie nor I really know what happened. I mean one minute he was there then next, the fan came crashing down and one of Candi’s man friends whipped his ass up and like a freight train cleared the floor. It all happened so fast. I know it was just an accident. I told the guys all us girls need guys like them around.

I talked to Candis’ friends after the show and we talked about that little incident. All I can say is don’t mess with Candis. She has some very well meaning and well built and capable friends watching her back ALWAYS. God she is so blessed by the people that surround her that I have seen. They genuinely care deeply for her. It reminds me of how many of the crew at Mo’s care and treat Jamie. And me somewhat. All I need to say is if you come to Mo’s and want to disrespect or poke fun at the “Trannies”… well be prepared to have your ass handed to you by someone if not several someones.

The show draws to a close. And it was good. Like a whirlwind she comes into our lives and is gone. But I really believe MO’s did the RIGHT thing bringing Candis down. After the show as usual Candis mingles with friends and fans. Not all stars do that. And I for one appreciate that. I got my photos! And Candis has forever added a new group of friends to her growing list. Please come back anytime. Even if it is just to drop by and say hello. Gawd wouldn’t that be cool. Nikki Dreams would pass out right there I’m sure. As for me. I packed Nikki away for now. I have gathered my composure and filed away more fabulous Candis memories.

But I still want that Dress!!!!!

This is a nice video in a series about a girl named Madison. I have only watched the first part and already I can identify with so much of what she says. Even though we as transgender women experience life in different ways we still have so much in common. If you were to take all of our stories and overlay them one upon another, I think the story that emerges is one of us all.
