Visit Our Universe:
In one week, Steve Grand went from being an unknown to the latest YouTube viral celebrity. His self-funded music video for his song, "All American Boy," spread like wildfire across over 1.6 million computer screens all over the world, touching many with its honest, raw story of unrequited gay love. Steve will perform at 5:15 on The Craig Yerkes Stage of the San Diego IndieFest 8 on Saturday, August 17th, immediately before folk legend, Ferron, takes the stage.
Earlier this month, Grand, an aspiring songwriter who came out at age 13, released the video for "All-American Boy," a gay-themed country/pop/rock ballad about unrequited love. The video, which the now 23 year old financed with $7,000 in credit card debt, became an overnight sensation and has attracted over 1.7 million views and tens of thousands of fans on Facebook and Twitter. "All-American Boy" is a raw and heartbreaking tale, which many in the gay community and people across all sexual orientations can relate to.

Introducing Lyft! Your friend with a car whenever you need one.
To help you get to, and prepare for, San Diego LGBT Pride this weekend, Lyft, an on-demand ride sharing app is offering our guests $20 in riding credits for new Lyft users. Just download the app at https://www.lyft.me/ and enter our Friends With Benefits code "MOSUNIVERS" under the setting tab to get your FREE $20 credit! And because you know we are size queens, and chances are you haven't slowed up on our Black Lemonades, we want you to correctly enter MOSUNIVERS by dropping the last "e" in Universe. Hunties, we know, we know... it's 11 characters, but to qualify for the $20 credit, we had to knock it down to 10 (and yes, one of anything makes a big difference).
So try Lyft tonight! Lyft is more fun and costs less than a cab. Just download the app, tap a button and a friendly driver will be on the way. You get to see a picture of the car and the driver, and watch from your phone as the Lyft approaches your location. Passengers sit in the front seat where they can charge their phone and choose the music. There’s a built in rating system to maintain an awesome community. You’ll also never have to worry about having enough cash because all payments are made with a credit card in the app. And as a special bonus, Lyft has stocked its cars with pink stick-on mustaches that the drivers are waiting for you to ask for.
Don’t want to wait until Saturday to take a Lyft? Maybe you need a ride tomorrow night’? Want a free ride RIGHT NOW? This $20 credit can be used anytime, and yes even when using that other app with the skull and orange screen, when you need a ride to your "friends place to chill" and you know "watch a movie.". Wink, wink...

Recorded live from the Copa Bar every week, this sometimes-raucous tête-à-tête through the local & global news and events happening now offers candid, and often comedic, views from two very animated personalities. Catch the show LIVE in person starting at 4pm(ish) every Thursday at Urban Mo's or watch us online http://www.hsss.tv/
You can also get the show delivered directly to your iPod/iPhone/iPad by subscribing to our video podcast on iTunes.
